My husband's visa finally changed to "Issued" yesterday! I haven't received any email regarding a DHL tracking number tho. When and where do you receive a #? I've been checking the ais.usvisa-info.com website but it doesn't seem to be updated (still says "send documents") but CEAC site says "Issued: Visa has been printed and will be delivered bla bla bla..." I read that it can also be tracked by "shipper's reference number" but I have no idea where to find that either. Anyone know?
I filed for AoS in March, got expedited EAD a few days ago in August due to a job offer. A couple of days before my EAD showed up, another unexpected card came in the mail - my social security number card!! Is that normal? I was under the impression the SSN card came 5-6 weeks after the EAD was printed/granted.... And then as if that's not enough, my green card status changed to 'ready for interview' yesterday! It's all go, all of a sudden.... I'm just glad I can finally work. The only thing I don't have is my advance parole travel pass because USCIS made a mistake with my form so it's delayed like a month behind the rest of my process.... Anyway, is that normal? To get an SSN days before getting my EAD??
Hi Guys, I entered the US on feb 1st 2018 with my K1 visa. The CBP officer just gave me my passport back with a stamp mentioning the 3 months that i have to marry my fiancee. Now this is the part that gets me confused- I went to this website- https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov and printed my latest I-94, does that mean that I'm in the "system" ( aka SAVE-ASVI system)? or should I wait for a 1-2 weeks? Another question - what documents do I need to bring with me to get my SSN? Thanks!
I got approved at the NOA2 stage for my K-1 visa on November 8th. I was under the impression a letter from the US embassy here in the UK should be dropping through my letter box a few weeks later but as of today (December 14th) nothing yet. Should I continue to wait or make a call/email to the NVC? Will the letter be accompanied by an email or similar (given that we filled out the G-1145 form for email/text confirmation at the same time as the I-129f) or will that be the only thing they send? I'm 100% sure we put my correct mailing address on the I-129f form but just wanted to be sure. Also, it feels like I'm sitting twiddling my thumbs while waiting for this - can I be doing anything else in the meantime? I've already submitted my DS-160, as well as got my ACRO police cert/immunisations for my medical, and my fiancé has filled in her affidavit of support form too, but is there anything else I can be doing to prepare while we wait for this case number or does everything from here onwards require that case number to be generated?? And finally - what's the average wait time from now (NOA2 about a month ago) to getting my K-1 visa? Could I be starting to plan moving out to the US from like end of January or around then??
