It might make it easy for us to keep in touch and update each other! I hope this is OK 🐨 We were DQ'd this morning so we will be waiting a while lol

We are all keeping track of the slow processing at ISL embassy for IR1/CR1. Wanting to start this thread to share IL/DQ dates, interview tips or questions and spread hope. 😇

I was a regular reader of the last London thread to keep myself updated with current timelines etc before it went to 70+ pages and way off topic. I thought it was such a useful resource so I’ve decided to start the ball rolling again so we can keep each other updated on news as it comes in. To kick us off, me and my wife were DQ 10th July so we’re hoping to get our interview appointment email early November. It appears June DQ dates have been scheduled so hoping this is our time after literally years of waiting. Fingers crossed for no Tier 3 lockdown in London!

My wife has her interview scheduled for September 13, which means her 6 month window to enter the USA will expire a few days before our 2nd anniversary, assuming that 6 month window starts from the interview date. Does anyone know if that’s the case or is there a delay in processing a passport as it typically takes awhile to receive it back after the interview from what I’ve read? It is possible to reschedule the interview with cause, but does anybody know how feasible that option is?

My wife got her police certificate in Mexico City today, it was quite far south in Tlalpan. She said it was very quick and efficient and that uber drivers are actually required to get this too and there were a bunch there. It's really very simple. If yours did not look like this, please also let me know

Hey everyone, Just filed I-130 and I-130a online and we got a notification of receipt on USCIS that I believe is the NOA 1. Now starts the long wait for NOA2. I hope it's not too long but I know that realistically we're looking at a wait for about a year. Fortunately we're lucky and we've been living together (out of the US) since we've been married, so we won't have to do long distance anymore. It looks like our case was sent to Nebraska which I hear is a fast one? I noticed that there isn't a thread for Nov 2022 filers yet so I figured this one could be it. Stressing out Waiting is more fun when it's done with others who are in the same boat

Hi, Case- I-R1/CR-1 Spousal Visa For those who have experienced or who have knowledge about the CFO/GFP certificate with sticker. Kindly share me your knowledge. Thank you in advance. I'm about to leave the Philippines to USA for the first time in December. Got my visa and stuff. But one thing came up. I don't know how, I just ended up clicking random website from my phone. You know -- was just searching.. "everything I need to do or know before moving to US from the PH for the first" time something like that. Then I saw the CFO/GFP certificate with sticker. If it wasn't because of me searching random things before I leave. I might have booked the ticket to US without knowing I need this certificate. I'm just wondering. If that happens and I'm at the airport already ready to fly. Would they stop me because I don't have that CFO/GFP certificate? Or is there exceptions? Would they still allow me to leave my country or not? Would my ticket be wasted?

Hello guys!! Quick question, I had my interview today and I was given a 221(g) form and the consular officer has ticked on “further consideration will be given to your visa application after we receive the items checked below” so he has checked financial documents and evidence of relationship. And I submitted them just now. Is this a bad sign? They kept my passport and original birth certificate and marriage certificate and the translations. What could happen next? At the interview the consular officer didn’t even wanna look at the evidence I brought there. If I’m getting the visa will I have to be interviewed again? Any possible red flags about my experience today?

Finally got document approval from NVC. I am reviewing info from the embassy. Says an MVC fee will need to be paid. $265 for wife. Don't know for step-child. Does this apply? I know the biometrics fee needs to be paid and don't know how much that is. Wondering when all the fees stop!

Me and my husband applied for the CR1 online but I was wondering if there's a difference between online vs mail application in -for example- processing time? We haven't applied that long ago and I know that the myprogress bar isn't that accurate but it went from 10 months to 3 weeks on Monday and I was wondering if it means anything? I know it's very early for it but I was just curious.

Still in the NVC stage though, but we need to plan ahead. Did anyone get their IV interview letters from Montereal after NVC qualified recently? And how far are they scheduling out? Weeks? Months? My wife is on an open work permit in Canada which is due to expire by the end of 2024. So we wanna know this information beforehand to avoid the need for her to apply for a Canadian PR. Thanks!

Hello guys! I just need to get clarified on the email I received from the embassy below. After the interview last month I was given a 221g to submit additional documents and I submitted them the same day(relationship evidences & i864s) and after almost a month later I received the below email saying the officer needs a new joint sponsor and I would overcome this refusal finding a new one. My question is do they mean that they’re ready to grant the visa if we can find a qualifying JS? And everything else is okay to process? Such as proof of relationship and background checks..? Any opinion would be appreciated. Thanksss

Hi! Our CR-1 application got documentary qualified on Sept. 24th. We are wondering how long does it usually take until we get our interview email or date in Egypt? If anyone went through this recently can you please tell me how long you waited for the interview after you got DQ? Thanks.

Hi My father who's 58 years old, got married about 3 years ago to a woman in Pakistan. She currently is at NVC stage waiting to get Documantirily Qulified. Once that is done it looks like US embassy is very backlogged in Pakistan and it can be up to 2 years before getting interviewed. Now only issue is my father is 58 and also diabetic and lives alone at his residence, I'm locked in my apartment lease and can't move with him because of that. Looking at his age and health condition would there be a way we can expedite the interview if so where do I reach and how long would it take. Thank you. ( I know 58 doesn't sound that old in US but, coming from a Pakistani family and seeing so many of my relatives barely making to 60s feels scary )

Hey everyone. I had put up another post and I am so thankful everyone in this community is so helpful! I would like to share an edited version of Cover Letter we have and the evidence, to get some opinions, as we have been so stressed about making sure we have enough evidence before we send. It needs to be sent by 6th September but I want to get it sent asap, this week if possible. "Dear USCIS Officer: I am filing a joint Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, with my spouse. My wife entered the United States on a CR1 visa on September 6th 2020. We respectfully request that this petition be accepted for removal of conditions on residence for Shannen. Please also find the following documents enclosed to verify the status of our marriage and ongoing relationship: Check for $680, including filing fee of $595 and biometric fee of $85. Form I-751 Form G-1145 Copy of Permanent Resident Card (front and back) Copy of our marriage certificate Copies of both of our Driver’s licenses/ID (front and back) Copy of apartment rental agreements with joint occupancy (2020-2022) Copies of the tax statements for the previous two years (2020 and 2021) Copies of Shannen's W2 forms Copy of Life Insurance showing that my wife as the beneficiary Copy of Rental insurance showing coverage for both myself and my wife Copy of our Car insurance certificate showing we are both insured Copy of our Health Insurance coverage for me and my wife. (2021-2022) Copy of new Health Insurance, showing both myself and my wife are insured under her job’s health insurance. (2022) Utility bills in my name and some in my wife’s name. Letter from State of Texas Department of Public Safety addressed to petitioner, to show proof of address Letter from Texas Toll addressed to me, to show proof of address Four sworn affidavits by U.S. citizen friends and family, attesting to our relationship and marriage -Name of father -Name of brother -Name of friend -Name of friend Birthday and anniversary cards we have written to each other since my wife moved to the U.S. Screenshots of our social media pages showing our ongoing marriage and relationship. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and respectfully request your favorable adjudication of this petition." -We recently opened a joint bank account since we never really considered having one, we decided to just go ahead and open it but since it's recent, we don't have much to send away. Would we be best to explain why we hadn't set up a joint account until recently, or even send our own personal statements? -We have printed about 35 photos and written dates, locations and names on the back but I read something that they need to be printed on paper, would that be best? -Utilities are mostly either in his name or my name, as he was paying most of the bills, we hadn't considered that they would need to be in both names, so we hadn't adjusted it. Will this be an issue? We are open to suggestions and tips, please let us know if there is anything else that we should change or consider as we want to make sure we provide as much evidence as we can.

My wife is an US citizen who applied for me. On July 31, 2017, I attended my immigrant visa interview at US Embassy in Dhaka, Bangladesh. At the end of interview, Consulate Officer told me that my interview is approved and could collect my passport with visa within 10 to 15 days. They did not give me any blue slip. They kept my passport and other documents. When I returned home, I found that Ceac status is showing "Administrative Processing". But, same day it changed to "Ready". Ceac status was "Ready" for 70 days. I contacted couple times with embassy, they always reply same thing in different way that my case is required "additional processing" or "additional review". Yesterday, my Ceac status again change to "Administrative Processing" . No idea what they are doing. Is it a good sign or bad sign that my case change to "Administrative Processing" from "Ready" after 70 days. Thanks.

Hi there, We accidentally wrongly filed an i90 instead of a i751 and are now filing the i751 6 months late with cover letter explaining the mistake. We had planned to travel outside of the country but now are concerned with the possibility of not having the receipt from i751 when reentering the country in 6 weeks. The i90 receipt does say that the green card extends for 2 years, but this was obviously not the correct form to file and will be rejected eventually. Does anyone know if my wife would be kept from entering the country if we did not yet have the i751 receipt? Thanks so much!

Hi everyone! My husband is set to enter the US next week on his CR-1 visa. Will the government shut down affect him entering the US? I know CBP is essential and USCIS is funded by fees so they will still be working. But will they not properly process his visa entry at the airport due to the government shut down or deny him entry because of the shut down? Did anyone enter on a IR-1/CR-1 during the last shut down and can provide some insight? Thank you!
