I have multiple entry dates over 1.5 years since for work and some to visit my girlfriend, (now wife). I was stopped and they went through every entry, reasons for entry, said this could be a problem and went off to speak to someone. Then they came back and asked me my line of work, and details of my NIE, luckily my work was military based for the American government and I had an NIE that just expired, they said fine but there will be a big problem next time, then asked was I lawfully intending to use my vacation to illegally enter the US for the purpose of gaining residency, which of course I wasn't. This experience however made my girlfriend and I to weigh up our life plan. We had talked about future marriage but not super super seriously but serious enough, and I was still legally married but legally separated and going through a divorce which can take a long time in the UK. Then out of the blue my divorce came through whilst still on my tourist visa, and that was it, she is the woman of my dreams and I finally found my soulmate, so it was easy to say yes when she proposed to me!! We subsequently married just before my tourist visa ran out, but after my return plane ticket expired. The whole entry trauma definately fast tracked deciding to marry probably 6 months earlier than expected

It was honestly a breeze, it didn't take me more than 90 seconds.
CBP officer asked me to confirm my wife's name, the address for the GC delivery, and a good phone number.
Stamped my visa, which he explained as a GC alternative for 1 year, and sent me on my way.
Great experience.

My entry to the U.S. went surprisingly easily despite the currently still valid travel ban. The immigration officer only wanted to have the brown envelope from me which the consulate has sent me and asked otherwise no questions. It took me 5 minutes to be admitted. 😳🥳

Super easy. The entire process took me less than 5 minutes to get through the immigration at DIA. Scanned my green card at a Global Entry Kiosk, no form filling. No dealing with the immigration officers. No human interactions. Walk directly out to the baggage carousel to get my luggage.
