All the previous reviews for Boston were very positive and described a quick process. I guess we entered on a bad day for the office because it took almost 2 hours for my fiancee to get admitted. We went through the citizen's lane (I, the USC traveled with him), and once identified as a K-1, he was taken into CBP office. I wasn't allowed to accompany him, so that was very frustrating- not knowing what is going on. There were a lot of people ahead of him in the office, some ended up being taken away in handcuffs. All of that just added to my anxiety, since I could see people being taken away. However, once he got called up to the desk, the questions were few and easy: how long we have known each other, how did we meet, etc. And that's it, a stamp was placed in the passport and he was free to go.

Fast, efficient and easy.

My fiance was the first in line at border control. When she informed them she was here on a K1 visa they took her to an interview room. She waited about 5 minutes while they reviewed the visa package and then they questioned her for a few minutes - what is her nationality, does she have any other citizenship, is she bringing any fruits or vegetables, how much money did she bring with her. Then they told her to remind me that we have 90 days to marry and submit the adjustment of status paperwork. 10 minutes total to clear POE and wait for her luggage. javascript:emoticon('')

Good experience. Arrived on eve of Thanksgiving, yet no matter at all as the airport was properly staffed and running efficiently! Took less than 5 mins with the immigration officer. First, I told him I am entering on a K1 visa and handed over the envelope and my passport. Did the routine fingerprinting and then he said, "Well, let's get this paperwork sorted". He tore open the envelope quickly and perused the documents for a quick minute. Then he asked me if we have a Wedding date in mind. I said yes, that it is in end-December and then he said I have until a particular date to get married. Then he verified if the address I put in my documents is correct - "XXX ABC STREET - You will be living there, correct?" I said yes. He then said "Okay, all set - good luck!" That's it! Crazy fast - I'd say even faster than a tourist visa.

Accompanied my Thai fiancee on her entry with her new K1. The officer in the normal visitor line opened her packet, took fingerprints, and did not even ask either of us a single question. We checked the "bringing food" box on the customs form as we had various Thai groceries, and the officer didn't ask about these either. It was so quick they had not even started unloading bags when we got to baggage claim!
