Could not have been easier! Went through the US Residents queue, then was sent over to wait for further processing. After about 5 minutes an immigration officer called me up and asked me a few simple questions, then reviewed my contact information for mailing my green card, then sent me on my way. Easy!

The airport was almost completely empty.
They let me sit down, then called my name.
The officer didn't asked me any question, he gave me back the passport with the stamp and gave me instuctions in case I won't receive a Green Card in six months.
That's it!

My fiancé arrived on April 18th 2021 in Atlanta, Georgia. Below I will recap the information he provided me:

Upon exiting the plane he went through the non-citizen immigration line. When it was his turn, the officer asked him his purpose of arrival, to which my fiancé answered that he was here on a K1 visa. The officer also asked if my fiancé spoke English or if he would like someone to translate, and my fiancé answered that English was fine. He gave them the sealed packet he received at the time that he picked up his passport + visa in Bogota. The officer walked him to a room where they opened the packet to review the documents. They did not ask him any questions while reviewing the documents.

The officer kept the packet and sent Alejandro on his way. From there, he picked up his bags and went through customs. They did not ask him any questions or request to check his bags.

Overall, he said it was very easy and quick. In fact, it was so quick that Alejandro made it through immigration, baggage claim, and customs before we even made it to the airport. He was outside and ready to be picked up by time we arrived.

I arrived in the US on 24 March from the UK. Due to COVID and being from a country affected by a travel ban, there was a block on my passport that the person at the Delta counter had to have removed by calling some personnel within the US. This was an easy process. It was suggested that I may need to show my marriage certificate so I had it handy, but it was not requested.

After I landed and arrived at the immigration hall, I approached the officer (there was no queue — it was very empty) and told them I was entering on the CR1 visa. They took the passport, asked me to lower my mask, and placed the passport in a purple folder and told me to follow a CBP officer. I was instructed to have a seat and wait for my name to be called. Within 5 minutes, I was called up to the desk where they had me sign a slip of paper ensuring I was aware of the need to remove conditions in two years. After this, I sat back down and waited to be called again. Not long after, I was summoned again and the officer confirmed the address and phone number where the green card will be sent. He returned my stamped passport and that was all! Everyone was very friendly, and I was very lucky to arrive at a time where they were not busy at all.

Also, on the visa itself, there was an annotation that stated, “Class B Req. ATTN. of USPHS at POE.” This was presumably because of a former standard depression diagnosis. We were concerned about this causing issues at POE, but no one ever mentioned it.
