Hi All,

I was not there myself, but this is my husband's review.

He arrived about 15 minutes early. He was asked for all the items in the interview appointment letter (passport, passport size photo, marriage certificate, his birth certificate, his police clearance certificate, my divorce decree, and any pertinent relationship proof). We had our wedding photos and photos of our visits to each other, which were sufficient. We made a binder that had everything from our petition ANR what we uploaded on CEAC but this is all they really looked at.

He was called up to the window and said the only real "on the record" question they asked him was "when did you guys meet?" He said the consular officer (CO) was super nice and made him feel at ease. The rest of the interview was more conversational. The CO made some jokes about our street name (in California) and talked about my husband's job prospects. He made a sweet comment that we looked really cute and happy together, and that he wishes us the best.

The CO also gave him the tip not to fly through the usual connections of AMS or CDG or LHR, and my hubs asked about flying out from IST, which he recommended. He said hubs will get his passport and visa on Monday, and then he'll be able to come home to me.

I hope this review helps you all out!

Such a nice experience!!! I was so stressed about the interview but everything went so smooth. My fiance came with me to the interview. First time you have to gave them your documents and then you have to wait for the actual interview. So the interview started with the oath and after that the consul asked me how we met, if I have any family members in the US (cause I have) and then he asked my fiance what s his work in the US. And that was it Their attitude was so nice and everyone was smiling so after I saw that I wasn’t nervous anymore! So don’t worry about your interview, it s gonna be super ok!❤️❤️❤️

The visa interview went well .I stayed inside for 20min .first I gave them all the papers I had(My passport ,DS-160 form, I-134 , my birth certificate a copy and original, my fiance's tax return , bank statements and a letter from his job, 2 pictures ,my medical results and so many pictures of me and my awesome fiance)
After I gave them all the papers I waited around 5-10min .And then bummm I was called at the window 7, the consular officer was super nice to me.he asked just 4 questions (how we met, when it was the first time when we saw each other; where we stayed on our vacation in Panama ;and the last one wasnt a question ,it was more like: oh I see that you will stay in Virginia.
After all of this he said:we are done here, you will have your passport in 2 working days ,have a great day and enjoy life .

Super happy IM GETTING MARRIED

Our interview went really smoothly in Bucharest. I accompanied my husband which we emailed them beforehand to let them know. We brought so much but hardly was asked for anything. The officer asked how we met, how many times had we been together in person, my relationship with the cosponsor, what my husband pla s to do in the US and that was it. He approved us and we started crying. We asked about paying the immigrant fee and he asked another officer who jokingly asked what he did to make us cry (the fee gets paid later online). Our interview was on a Thursday and we had passport/visa on Monday!

We arrived at the Embassy about 30 minutes in advance, and there were 4 or 5 people waiting across the street under the little covered area they put up. Security came to let us in 5 minutes before the scheduled interview time. They checked our passports (I sent the Embassy an email in advance asking to be allowed to attend the interview with my wife, and they wrote back saying they would add me to the list, which they did.) and took our phones, checked our belongings, etc.

We entered the consulate area, and one by one, were called up to the first window to give the required documents: DS-260 confirmation, original birth and marriage certificates, police records, passports, passport pictures, TNT registration (to have the passport/visa sent to us at home) and proof of relationship (photos, proof of past shared addresses, etc.). Then we waited as the Consul Officer called us over for the interview. Of the 5 people / couples there, we got called up second.

The CO was nice, and asked very simple questions:
(to my wife)
How did you meet?
What were you doing in France (where my wife and I met)?
How often have you been to the US?
What do you do in your hometown?
You had the civil ceremony in Romania. Where did you have your other wedding? (It shows he looked at the pictures)
What are your plans once you move to the states?

(to me)
What do you do in Romania?

He then gave us back all our original documents and pictures, cancelled my wife's previous tourist visa, and said everything looked fine to him. We'd have our visa in a few days. He also gave us some advice about international travel once my wife has her green card, since he saw that we have lived in several different countries. He wanted us to be sure we understood the residence requirements for the green card (you can't be out the US for more than a year) so we don't have to go through all this again. I thought that was nice of him to point out.

And that was it really. The whole thing took an hour (and a half if you count waiting outside the Embassy). Everyone was nice, professional, straightforward, and honest.
