My fiancé had her interview today. She mentions that it was relatively easy and fast (15-20 minutes). Prior to the interview, she was greeted by a consular agent (gave her phone, all the necessary documents). She was asked a few questions (where we met, what year we met, location of first meeting). She briefly waited for a few minutes for the agent to review some information in a separate room and was approved. She was told her case status would appear as refused until her medical records were released to the embassy (originally was told by the clinic it would be a few days). Just be truthful and do not be afraid.

I am an American with a Russian fiance. We transferred our case from Warsaw, Poland to Jerusalem, Israel. Our interview was uneventful but we were sent back with a white 221g administrative processing slip and a refusal and told to come back with my fiance's curriculum vitae. They did ask to keep our passport, but we told them we had to leave Israel to collect the papers and they instead instructed us on how to mail them the papers needed. We are currently still in 221g administrative processing as of today.

Israel is different to other countries. They request police certificates from every country that you've lived for over 6 months (not a year). They put us in the administrative processing, because we could not provide it for Mexico, where my husband lived for a little less than a year as a tourist, waiting for the interview appointment at CJD.

After the congressman's office has reached to them they actually send us an email that stated that administrative processing takes at least 9 months. My husband went to the embassy to collect his Russian passport then, because he could not wait any longer in Israel. They issues him visa 3 days later on July 7th and on July 10th he picked his passport with visa in it.

Had an early morning appointment and arrived 30 minutes before. Was called up to the first window to give document that was requested prior to the appointment and the women was very professional and let me know that if anything was missing the consular would notify me but also stated that everything looked good.. Sat back down and waited a few minutes until I was called to the second window for my interview with the consulate. I can’t say enough but she was the nicest person and made me feel very excited about my interview. She asked a couple questions about how I meet my wife, what are my plans, and just a bit about us. She informed me that my visa was approved and that would receive my passport in the mail within 1-2 weeks and that I was free to go. The whole process from checking in to leaving was about 40 min in total. My experience was great and I can’t wait to fly with my wife back to the states.

Brought a very large file with all the documents, including proof of relationship, trips, etc. At first, I was called and asked to show army records, medical files, taxes, and AOS. After that, I waited for the main interview. The interview itself was very friendly, took about 8-10 minutes, including fingerprints. The consul didn't request any other documents. I advise coming about 20-30 minutes before the appointment. Phones or any other electronics are not allowed inside.
