Review Topic: K1 Visa

As expected, my fiance was told to leave all belongings behind as he went through security, (ie: cell phone). He had a binder with tabs organizing all the paperwork he had on hand, but he had already separated the essential required docs in the FRONT of the binder. (Interview confirmation page, Passport Pics, Birth Certificate/Translation, Police Report, Medical Envelope, X-rays, I-134 & Backup) This turned out really well since The "receptionist" asked for the paperwork UP-FRONT to be submitted to the interview. We didn't expect this step, we thought the interviewer was going to ask for things one by one throughout the interview. They did allow him to take in the rest of the paperwork he had in hand, with him into the interview. (Proof of relationship: TONS of stuff we compiled including more pics, copy of I-129F, copies of MY passport, birth certificate just in case! Letters of reaffirmed Intent) Once he was called the interview went very smoothly. She asked if he spoke English and how much English she could use in the interview. My fiance speaks English fluently, he actually JOKED with her and said he spoke a little English, I would NOT recommend doing this, my fiance is a GOOF, and she actually didn't know he was joking. (I CANNOT believe he did this, maybe his attempt at breaking the ice..pfff) Anyway, those officers are trained to keep a straight face regardless. She asked a few questions, while looking over things in front of him. She asked where I was from, (like my background), also when we were planning to get married and what kind of venue we would use. She asked if he had pictures and he said PLENTY, so she wanted to see them all. She added that it wasn't because she didn't believe him but because she loved pictures. This quickly relaxed my fiance as well. She was actually very reassuring throughout. There was a problem with the system upon getting his fingerprints, and she kept telling him not to worry, that everything was fine, it was just a technical issue. In the end, she told him he would have to come back to re-do his fingerprints, she again reassured him that everything was fine. I'll have to say, she did not "explicitly" say that he was approved, but she implied it by saying he would be called to tell him when to come back and get his passport. She gave him a document that had the instructions on how to "pick up your issued visa". She just never said the words "You have been approved". This of course left a tiny lingering doubt on our minds, although everything went well. The Interview was Wednesday, the following Monday, he got an email to come back the following Wednesday. It turns out THAT appointment was only to re-do his fingerprints. Then the following day, Thursday, our CEAC status finally started changing, and went through the cycle of "Received" "Administrative Processing" and finally "Issued". He was immediately called to come the following day to pick up his Visa!! WHEW!! What a roller coaster!!

So I arrived there at 7am ...the embassy opens at 8am..at 8am they let me in took my bags and phones as they're not allowed in the building...
Waited 30 min ..I was the only one ...then a lady called me and asked why I was there, asked for my documents, then took my fingerprints and sent me to the cashier to pay. Then told me sit again and wait. All that took about 30 min..
Then the CO came and called me..he was very very very nice and smiling...here were the questions:
Where does your fiance lives?
How long has he been living there?
How did you meet him?
When was the last time you saw him?
Why him specifically?
Do you guys talk everyday?
"OK Mam,I approve your visa"
Then he said" we will call you when it's ready to pick up"
He didn't ask for any chat log or picturesomething or evidence of relationship...
