an appointment was scheduled for my wife (F2A VISA) on May 06 2008-I (petitioner)have filed all the papers through NVC in NH. At the time of the interview, she was requested my previous divorce decree. (that she did not have with her). I had to send the original by Next Day Air. Her passeport and visa were returned to her a week later.

Review Topic: K1 Visa

I was asked to show up at 1pm at the consulate rue Saint Florentin, but it's closed as it is being renovated; a guy there told me to go to the embassy: it's not too far away on the place de la Concorde.
It wasn't much of a hassle, but it was a bit annoying to have wrong information.
The interview process was pretty smooth. Just like everyone else here, I met with 3 different people and was done in a little under an hour and a half.
The consul told me I'd get my visa within 10 days.
I sensed a small tension when they noticed my fiance was a student, but that might just be my mind sending me wrong signals...
On to the next step, now!
