Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

It really didn't feel like an interview. I felt like I was talking about my life to a friend.
It was actually a conversation.

So here goes the questions:

-Who filed for you
-Where does your spouse live
-Where did you meet
-What were you doing there
-When was the last time you saw each other
-How many times have you seen each other in person
-What does your spouse do for a living
-Have both of you ever been married before
-Do you have kids
-What's your relationship with your son's mother
-Has your spouse met your son
-How was your engagement
-Did you post banns at the council before marriage
-Name of the place where civil wedding took place
-How many people attended the wedding
-Did you do a traditional wedding too

The Interview Officer was quite impressed by the fact that we had already uploaded as much evidence of a bona fide marriage as we could at NVC. He thanked us for making his job easy.
He also appreciated the fact that our file was well organized and easy to look through.

Review Topic: F-2A Visa

On the day of my interview woke up very early prepared my son and I and were at the embassy by 6:15am. At exactly our appointment time we were led into the hall. The security agents were very polite and receptive yet they payed attention to every key details and ensured we followed the rules accordingly. Long story short when it got to my turn I was interviewed by a white, he seemed very strict and very straight forward never met one like that in my life. He asked a whole lots of questions I think 15 in total and when I answered all to my greatest dismay he went through an array of papers and sorted out the form 221(g) and requested for a DNA between mother and son and father and son. I can't even describe how shook, confused and disappointed I was. I mean I had my son's birth certificate, pictures of him during his baptism, Thanksgiving and so forth yet was issued that dreaded form. I felt so disappointed and sad and felt I was treated unfairly. However we went on with the DNA process which took a total of 6 weeks for the results to be out and shipped to the U.S embassy. Then the wait began at this point we called, emailed the embassy on what next but got no response I called the appointment line and was told there was nothing anyone could do but keep tracking our status online on the Ceac account which we did. Finally after 5 weeks we got our visas. Our status online changed from AP to Ready and after less than a day it changed back to AP and after 3 days it changed to issued. The following day I emailed the embassy on when I cd come collect our visas and got a reply 3 days after to come pick them up any Thursday as from 3pm. So in all it's been worthwhile the struggle was hard but my sweet hubby just never gave up every struggle just brought us together

Review Topic: General Review

Hello VJ fam. I want to start by saying a big thank you to GOD and to all who supported me during this tedious journey. I'm thankful to God who made it possible for me to end this journey with a big smile.

My husband had his interview on 6/12/2019 at 8:30am in Yaounde Cameroon.

I went to support him through the process. we go there at 7am and we joined 2 long lines. Around 7:20am, an officer came out and said all immigrants on one line and dv lottery on another line. We adjusted according to our type of visa.

At the time of entry i was told i couldn't go with my husband but i could wait for him outside. He went in ard 7:45am and i waited for him outside.

Long story short, my husband said once inside, he went through security and had to leave his bag at the front desk and just took his documents which he gave to an officer;

2 passport photo

Marriage Certificate

Birth certificate

passport

police clearance

Sealed envelop from the clinic to proof that he did his medicals before interview.

Album

After 2hrs 30mn his number was called around 11 30am. He said the CO was friendly.

My husband said he greeted him first and it started off smoothly......

The CO told him I know its your wife petitioning for you and my husband smiled and then Questions began

When did we meet?

When did we get married?

Do you know where your wife lives? (my husband said he responded by asking him, Do you want me to give you her address? and CO laugh and said no)

How and when did i come to the US?

What's my profession?

Where does he intend to stay?

Congratulations you will receive your visa when we receive your medical results ( that was because my husband did his medicals 2days before the interview). They kept his passport and by next week he will be picking up his visa .

NB: the CO only looked at our album and nothing else. He did not ask for transcripts or whatsapp conversations or anything else.

Thank you to all VJ fam and Good luck to @nyokie  and every one else.
A little tip for those who are looking to file, please upload all documents when sending your Form I 130. Things will be smooth at the end.

LOVE YOU ALL😍😘 and GOD BLESS you!!
