Overall a very good experience for my husband. Everyone was kind to him. He gave his documents to a female clerk prior to the interview, for copying I think. She kind of got them mixed up and ended up handing back the AOS Cosponsor form to him. We have to send it back with other requested documents. she was very nice but a little unorganized or confused he said. The interviewing officer was easy to talk to and only asked a few questions:
What I (petitioner) do for a living
Where do I (petitioner) live
Do I own or rent the apartment
Was I (petitioner) already married before
Are my children from my current husband (beneficiary) or my previous partner
When did originally meet
How many times have I (petitioner) visited
What does he (beneficiary) do for a living
My husband said the officer did look at his hands frequently. Maybe to see if they were shaky/if he was nervous. Or maybe he just has really nice hands Hubby offered additional photos and evidence, but officer said it was not necessary. We submitted plenty of proof already and he had no doubts of the relationship. He said the application was approved, on the condition we submit a couple more documents...
We were asked to provide a marriage certificate from Tunis City Hall. We were married by a notary in Tunis, Tunisia because City Hall was "closed" for marriages the week we were there due to elections (that's our luck). We registered the marriage at the court, the Algerian Embassy, his hometown in Algeria, but not Tunis City Hall. So now we are in the process of doing that... 17 months after the fact. Also, I provided tax returns of our joint sponsor, but we needed to have tax transcripts. Be sure to always opt for transcripts for this embassy! These items are to be sent via Aramex to the Embassy. Hubby asked how long it would take after that, would we need another interview? The officer said, no as soon as he receives the requested documents he will make the decision official.
When my husband mentioned that we didn't register at Tunis City Hall, but we provided the certificate that was registered in Algeria, he said it wasn't logical to have registered in both cities. The interviewing officer said "Here, we go by law, not logic" I feel like that really sums up the entire immigration experience.

My fiance had his interview on 1/14/19 at 10.30am. He brought everything I sent to him like my pay stubs, tax return for 2017, letter from employer, etc., as well as more chat and call logs from after we sent the I-129f until now.
He said there was only one other female there that day for a K1 interview. The officer was nice and asked him a lot of questions, but my fiance knows everything about me and he answered everything very well.
The officer kept all of the documents and evidence he brought and kept his passport, but gave him a 221g for a more proof of how we met on facebook. My fiance sent the proof back to the embassy by Aramex the next day and they received it on 1/17/19.
Our status was Admin Processing from the interview date until today, 1/30/19 and we received an email from the embassy saying the visa is approved and will be printed soon. So 15 days in AP, not so bad. CEAC website also changed to Non-Immigrant today.
The officer was very nice and professional, and we sent them emails a few times checking on the status of our case and they always answered in 1-2 days, and were very helpful. This embassy is very good.

The interview was simple and down to the point.. he didnt find it difficult because we were prepared for the questions they asked.. overall the officer was not “nice†but wasnt rude or out of line with the questions. I would say this embassy is professional and as long as u are prepared.. financial docs, translated docs, pics, letters, affidavit of support, divorce stuff.. etc. and you know your spouse or fiance like you should then it will go smooth!!!!
