Our AOS interview went smoothly! The only real hard part was waiting for them to call us in. Our appointment time was at 8AM on a Tuesday. We parked at the nearby parking garage (520 N St) since there is only street parking in the area and we didn’t want to deal with finding a spot and worrying about 2-hour parking limits. The garage is one block from the USCIS office.
We arrived around 7:35 and had to go through security. The security guard greeted us and asked for our IDs and what we were there for. After saying we are here for our AOS interview, he wanted to check the AOS letter and had us take off our shoes to go through the metal detector. Once through we took the elevator to the 2nd floor and followed the signs towards room 2-230 (as stated on our AOS letter). There was a line up to the check-in windows and had about 5 people in front of us. We were in the line at about 7:45 and waited a few minutes to get to the window where the nice lady asked for our AOS... read complete review

Interviewer was professional, swore us in and asked each of us some basic questions, then asked for our “proof of marriage†documents and review them. He said it was good that the photos I submitted all had notable travel backgrounds, Lake Tahoe, Disney, Yosemite, Chicago, Seattle, Napa, etc.
Then he went on to review the aos with my wife basically reviewing all answers especially the 10 thousand have you ever questions. He then has her sign her application and told us there are a few more security check but if they come out file she should have a green card in 4-6 weeks.
Reviewing our status it is now “On May 28, 2019, we ordered your new card†so assuming it’s all approved and we’ll get her card shortly.

Hi everyone! The interview went well! Very easy, lots of rambling... In general: I brought too many papers, he took the rent agreement, copies of our BC, and not the photos, which I did bring, but I also brought photocopies of them (like 3/page) and he said those are better, they fit perfectly in the folder. Questions: how did you meet? What town were you born? All the mandatory questions (the ones where we all answered no no no no no no no no). Then he asked if I like it here, and then it was all rambling without questions. Very smooth, very nice guy.
He didn't say the words "you're approved" but he did explain that we will be getting a letter shortly with the conditional residence card, and that he have to apply for ROC 3 months before the second anniversary of the interview.
Then we left, so happy ! Had lunch at a nice place, got a bottle of champagne because the occa... read complete review

We had our interview yesterday and were approved.
Honestly it was grueling. We were there for three hours, one hour wait and two in the interview room. 50 minutes of that was me and the rest going through the paperwork for my four children so that would be exceptional. Be prepared for a long wait beforehand.
Basically, the officer is trained to trick you and spot any lies/omissions etc. He continually did this, misrepresenting information, and pursuing very specific facts or dates here and here. Some of the big and obvious stuff he didn't touch. He barely looked at my photos for instance. Yet made a big deal about EXACTLY which dates I came and went on one of my visits here and finding the registration date of my birth; my previous divorce certificate ( which they already had) etc. I was super organized with my paperwork and was thankful for this, even though some of it wasnt touched. Things that were asked for they already had, but just be prepared to p... read complete review
