Our interview was scheduled for 1pm on July 8th, 2014.
I had done some research on what to expect, what to bring, etc. and it was pointless, in a good way! I have organized a exact copy of everything we sent in with the application, our joint accounts/assets, and a photo album of ourselves, friends and family. We arrived 30 minutes early but was sent away since they were on lunch until 1pm. We came back 5 minutes before our interview and only had to wait less than 10 minutes. Both my husband and I were brought into a room by a very curly, salt and pepper hair lady who was kind of intimidating at first. We were asked to take an oath to tell the truth, then I, as the immigrant, was sent out of the room while my husband was questioned. Everything went really smoothly. We entered and the interviewer called my spouse in while I waited outside for 5-10 minutes. The security guard was so friendly and we talked while I was waiting =)
After that, they called me in with my spouse in there and the interviewer had a paper with all the details she has asked my spouse written on it. She basically asked me the same questions just to check if things matched up. The questions were really basic, like where we both worked, where we lived, etc. Mostly she asked questions about my spouse knowing that my spouse hasn't had a chance to meet my family.
The funny thing was, I brought so many things, from pictures to all the documents listed on the interview request form and she didn't even look at any of it! I think maybe it is because I had supplied all those documents when I filed my I-130/I-485. Regardless, the interview took about 45 minutes and at the end the interviewer said she was going to approve me... read complete review

This office has been great for the whole process - Infopass appointment for a quick AP document, Biometrics, and I-485 interview have all been a breeze. Super friendly staff and never any lines or waiting. Security guard even jokes around and chats with you. Really appreciate the kind, helpful, wonderful job these folks are doing and it's refreshing to see people who actually like their jobs. Thanks Portland!
