Review Topic: Adjustment of Status

My Green card interview went smoothly. The only thing she asked for in the stack of documents we had with us was just the proof of living together. The IO was more focused on my wife (USC), asking her all kinds of questions about me : The names of my parents ( which she could not pronounce), how was my country when she visited ?, how did we meet ?,where do I work? ( I had my EAD since the end of last year),my phone number and my D.OB.
Then she said she had to review our document that she couldn't approve us on the spot.My status changed to " New Card Is Being Produced" 2 days later.

NOTE: Your interview starts from moment the I.O welcomes you from the entrance of the hallway NOT when you all get to his/her office. Your responses to the small talk in the hallway ( and your body language) and his/her quick impression of you both as a couple is a build-up to what he/she is going to ask from both of you as soon as you sit down.
Good luck everyone!

Approved for the Green Card at the interview as of yesterday.

We were handed a paper approval notice and given verbal approval.

Questions included:

To my wife:

Interviewer asked the terrorist/threat/criminal questions on the original I-485.

The questions below were asked directly from the I-485, our interviewer was going over the application start-to-finish checking off each section it seemed.

What is your full name?

What is his full name?

What is his birthday? My wife was actually a little anxious and gave the wrong month here.

When did you get married? Wifey also messed up with the wrong year, haha, and the interviewer looked surprised but I played it off and told the interviewer she's kind of anxious and reassured my wife to be careful.

Your mother's birthday?

Your mother's full name?

Our interview was scheduled at 12:30 the day of. We decided to arrive about 20 min before our scheduled appointment time.

Office is on the north side of town not too far from IAH in an office/warehouse district. As they always are, USCIS office wasn't exactly in the nicest part of town if you know what I mean.

Parking was ample.

Step 1:

As you enter you have to go through a security check....greeting employees were all pretty friendly and helpful. As soon as you get past security you have to check in at the front desk where they ask for your interview letter to which they verify on a computer and then hand over a piece of paper with a number it to which we were instructed to go get a biometrics done at a table off to the side. Went over to get the biometrics done (this is for the applicant only) and then were instructed to go to the main waiting hall. Not sure why this happens again since a biometrics had already been compl... read complete review

Interview lasted 15min. We took our 2-month-year-old daughter to the interview. Because of that the agent just asked for the baby’s birth certificate. He told that he would recommend that we would be approved. But he needed to run another background check to see if I didn’t have anything with the law. The same day I received the email that a card was in production.
