My fiance had to wait 2-3 hours total. Overall process was very easy and smooth for her. They called her up to first window to collect police certificate, birth certificate, medical, I-134 and only asked for 2018 IRS Transcript as a supporting document. Although we had a letter from my employer and letter from my bank they didn't ask for all those. They didn't ask for any additional proof of relationship nor photos. They told her to keep all other documents in case you will need those in the future. They didn't ask her for interview language. Couple of minutes later she asked them about it and they told her "All immigrant visa interviews conducts in Turkish"

Hours of wait, she called up to another window and a nice American men asked her how she is doing in Turkish. After that, asked her "Do you speak English", she answered "a little bit". He told her to raise her hand and swear to tell the truth. And asked her "Are you married", she answered "No." . He started doing som... read complete review

My fiancé had his interview at 8:45. He was finished by 9:45 with an approval! He said it was very easy. They did ask a lot of questions but I think that was because of him living in Gaza, wanting to make sure he was not involved in anything negative there. Nothing out of the ordinary was asked but I think they delved more into his background than they would have from another country but, that was kind of expected.

Overall very positive experience. Had to wait ~2.5 hours total. The first officer was Turkish and she asked for my supporting documents: police record, birth certificate (obtaining them via E-Devlet is accepted), medical record, passport photos first, then she asked for I-134's, relationship proof and photos. She asked questions related to our current employment status. Finally, she asked me if I would be comfortable interviewing in English, and although I said yes, I was interviewed in Turkish.

The wait after the first officer was quite long. I was called to the counter in a separate room and my interviewer was a nice Turkish lady. She asked me where/when we met, and if our families have met (we had included a picture of our families together so maybe she was cross-checking that). And that was it! She said everything looked beautiful and the passport would be in our hands within 5 business days.

Interview went well! No unexpected questions. We had a student visa denied in the past and that has no effect and wasnt a problem. I did have the wrong IRS paper but I had Paycheck stubs as well and they said that’s fine. The lady was nice and said congratulations your visa is approved!!

The interviewer merely opened the story of ours in front of him and asked critical points of our relationship from there. I do not have much to add because they were all personal questions like who was this person or you guys lived in US together etc. But I have to mention that the questions were clever. For instance: You guys visited Washington, what was the thing that you really loved in there or so you two lived in NYC, which subway ride you were taking. These are very clever questions to determine if you guys actually lived together and did what you told. Other than that the attitude of the interviewer was extremely nice. He was super smily and friendly so I think overall the whole interview was very smooth except the waiting part. The waiting part took ages and made me sweat a lot!
