The interview was very smooth, the staff at the embassy were very helpful and polite. No serious trick questions, just some conversation about how we met and background, possibly because we had a lot of pictures and documentation stretching a good few years back.
Unfortunately the wait was seriously long (3h+) and without a phone or book it gets really boring, book early morning slots if you can, you'll wait less. Also, with the wait times being as high as they are, the embassy will require you to submit new Letters of Intent. The consul was asking me to just email updated ones before I produced hard copies, which he also accepted.

Very friendly staff, fast processing. Got asked a couple of quite simple questions.
It's better to come in early, 30 min before the embassy opens (around 7:30am), because the queue isn't time based, rather first in - first out

My wife and daughter went in for an 8:30 AM appointment. I walked them to the door of the embassy and off they went.
Everyone was really polite and friendly. Obviously, my girls were nervous, especially when their consul officer gave my wife a white sheet of paper to read, which I told her just a day ago stood for denial. But this really turned out to be just a warning for battered persons or if you're in an abusive relationship. Let's just say she was real happy.
The questions were very simple and to the point. Since we've been married for 10+ years and got 2 children together.
They just asked my name, where I worked and that's about it.
They were done in a little under 3 hours from start to finish.
The only thing my wife asked me to mention is that this embassy absolutely requires your tax transcripts and not just tax copies. Two people with IR1s got sent home to get these right before my wife and daughter were called... read complete review

My fiance's appointment went very smoothly. The interviewer was impressed with how organized the paperwork was, and was thrilled with how well he spoke English. He got approved, and they will be sending passport and visa by mail.
