my fiance spent about 2 hours at the embassy, his actual interview lasted about 5 minutes, he was asked routine questions like how we met, have i been to turkey, was i learning to speak turkish, what i did for a living, about my family, parents and brother. he then was given a green 221g refusal form asking for more information. he had his wifes death certificate but had not updated his birth certificate to show he was widowed so he was sent home to correct that and we also had to send most recent phone, text and skype records. green form stated once all info was in order we would receive visa in 1-2 weeks. a week and a day later he got his visa (on american thanksgiving holiday) and he will be entering USA at New York on tuesday 11/27...........

Our final interview was at 8:00, we were there around 7:40
Waiting was a bit painful but interview itself was easy.
1.You get a waiting number
2.Security Check
3.First call, payment and checking your papers if something is missing or wrong.
4.Second call, getting some information about GC and what will happen after.
5.Third call, final interview finger prints, questions about our relationship, nothing was hard they are nice people just be honest.

My wife had to wait 1 hour outside the US Embassy. However, her interview took 3-4 minutes and she really liked the Visa representative. She felt very comfortable. I am glad that this is over.

For my 8.00 am interview, I got to the embassy at 7.25am. After a short wait outside, I got in the line to enter the embassy, I was first in the line. The security officers were all very kind. The only problem was to wait till almost 9.00am in the embassy's patio as it was very cold in Ankara that morning. The reason why we waited for so long was that the person who was supposed to collect paperwork came a bit late. Once I was indoors everything was fine again. I waited a little bit for my fingerprints then short after that I got called to another window for my interview. I first rose my right hand to swear then the lady asked me only where we plan to live, what my plans are there and when the wedding is but these didn't feel like questioning and I felt more like I was chatting with a friend. I should add that the lady who did my interview vas very very nice and polite. So I was done at the embassy before 10.00am, paid UPS for passport delivery and that's it
