The people at the Embassy were very nice. The immigrant line was very short and we completed the interview within fifteen minutes. Just handed in the required papers and answered a few questions. I'm the petitioner and I went with my fiance to his visa interview. He was asked how long we'd been together and what he wanted to do in the US. Simple questions. Overall it was a really good experience and when it was over we were so happy. Good luck and don't worry!

I can only agree with previous reviewers. You will be treated well, receive free coffee and be entertained with DVDs about USA on a big screen tv once you are inside waiting for your interview. The person interviewing me was super great and easy-going. Even the guards are nice!

Don't forget to get in the right line both when waiting to enter the embassy, and once inside the embassy choosing from all the windows. You will want to be in the immigrant line. Be alert to which line you are assigned, the guards first pointed me to the non-immigrant line because they assumed I was there for a non-immigrant visa (like the big majority is). I had to question it before they realized their mistake and placed me in the right line. Don't be afraid to get every single detail right!

Before entering the embassy, they will ask you to take out all your electronics and put them in a tray. It might be wise to prepare this and avoid standing digging in your purse like I had to... read complete review

Very friendly and relaxed staff. Some advice: stand in the US Citizen / IMMIGRANT line outside and go to the IMMIGRANT VISA window inside. I stood in the wrong line for 40 minutes! It was pouring when I came out but I didn’t care, I felt like the happiest girl in the world!!!!

Interview:
Easy breezy! The CO only asked two questions 1. have you ever been married and 2. do you have any children? The Consulate was friendly-even singing songs together behind the counter. The entire process from arrival at the embassy to departure from the embassy was 15 minutes. My appointment was for 9. I arrived early and they interviewed me right away before my scheduled time. 5 out of 5 star experience!

I want to show my greatest appreciation to the embassy of US in Stockholm. These nice people did me a big big favor.
I am originally from China mainland and was doing my PhD study in Sweden when we submitted the application. At the beginning everything went smoothly until the interview date was scheduled. The embassy in Stockholm didn't want to interview me because I was neither Sweden citizen nor perminant resident of Sweden. They wanted to send my case back to NVC so that I could be re-sent to some other "more qualified" consulate (which can only be Guangzhou, China).
I almost died of this news. I knew it would be disaster if they really did what they said. Maybe NVC will need to give me a new case number, maybe some of the processing will have to go through again. And there is long long line waiting in Guangzhou and one needs to wait for about four months for a scheduled interview. I wrote a letter to embassy in Stockholm, stating my difficulties, and attac... read complete review
