So today was my fiance's interview and he was approved, YAY!!! He stayed in a hotel in VI just so he could avoid that Lagos traffic and make sure he was at the embassy early. He made sure to bring the visa fee in dollars cause we had heard of people getting turned away for not having dollars. He said his interviewer truly grilled him, the interviewer asked him questions like:
- What is your fiance's name?
- What does she do for a living?
- How often do you talk on the phone? The interviewer remarked on how it appears like we're constantly on the phone, our records are massive since we talk at least once a day.
- What do you talk about?
- How did you meet?
- Why did people introduce her to you? (we met through family friends)
- What qualities does she have that you like?
- Have we made any wedding plans?
So after the basic questions, apparently it got more difficult, they ask him since we talk so much:

hi, i woke up 4 o'clock AM on the faithful 26th of October, prayed, clean up and got dressed and i left home by 5.30 AM. (mind you i was driven in my own car and not taxi that is why i can afford to leave that late). i got to the consulate by 6.20AM and i joined other people that were around. at 7 AM exactly, people for immigrant visa were called and i was lucky to be iv 1. we started the routine, filed in, pay our money and entered the main building. i was called forward by a Nigerian lady who took my documents from me and told me to sit down and wait to be called for my interview.
after some time an American guy called my number and my interview started. he asked me so many question in a very short time but i was able to answer them all.some of which are
who petitioned for you?
how did you meet? explain
where does he work?
where does he live?
what is his phone number?
how did he travel?
which university he attended?

My husband and I spent several days reviewing questions that other VJ members had experienced. He attended his interview carrying two notebooks that contained all of the proof we gathered over the past 3 years. The notebooks included sections on emails/IM, phone records, taxes, banking, medical, letters/affadavits from friends and family, pictures, visas and travel documentation from my visits, documentation noting my name change, and documents that proved my months of working in nigeria. Here are the questions that the interviewer asked.
1. Who filed the visa?
2. Where did you meet your wife?
3. What was the name of the site that we met on?
4. When did you get married?
5. When was your wife's last visit to Nigeria?
6. How long did she stay on each visit?
7. What was the position she held? (On my last visit I stayed 4 months, and worked in a school in the north. My husband joined me there)
8. Where are the wedding pictures?

My Fiance's interview went very welland i am very thankful to God for making it a very smooth one.It was a long wait and didn't get interview till almost 1pm but according to him, it was very short and precise and he was done within 5 minutes
Questions asked were:
Who is filing for you?
How long have you known her?
Why are you getting married in the U.S?
Does she have family there?
How many Siblings?
How did she go to the U.S?
Where does she live?
The questions were direct and precise. He wasn't asked for anything at all as far as evidence (phone records, emails , photos and all)
That was the end of the questions. The interviwer was a guy and he told my fiance, "You're the most genuine fiance i have seen today" Congratulations
