I picked the only available interview date throughout August and September, which is August 17th. It didn't seem like I have a choice since my petition expires on the second week of October and I was told by my office that I might have a work trip on the beginning of October.

I had a crazy week. Called the panel doctor for a medical examination on August 8th. Went to the medical examination the following day. Was told to pick up my medical report on August 16th.

As for the documents, I collected almost everything except for my Australian Police Certificate. This is required as I spent a few years in Australia. The Australian Federal Police (AFP) only mail their certificates through standard international mail. It will take about 20 working days to get here. That's about a month. I ordered this on the last week of July thinking that it will be in time for a September interview. Since I was told that August 17th was the only available slot in two months,... read complete review

10 am interview but I arrived at 9 ish. No queue nor crowd. A guard told me I can go through security immediately to enter the embassy compound.

Registration counter: Provided my ID card and visa interview confirmation page. Lady checked my appointment against her list, stamped my visa interview confirmation page with a B, returned the page to me and issued me a visitor tag. My ID card was held at the counter.

First security checkpoint: Handed in my mobile phones, power bank, USB cable and earphones and was given a pigeonhole number tag. Bags were scanned (like airport security checks) and I walked through a detector. Collected everything and walked to the actual embassy building.

Second security checkpoint: Guard manually checked my bags casually and I walked through yet another detector. After I was cleared, I was instructed to go to the interview hall, which was on the left.

Interview hall: Queue number ticket guy checked m... read complete review

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Went for interview on 6th of April 2017, and they put me in Administrative Processing status. Sent all the details required (where i've had travel in past 15 years, where I've been stayed for past 15 years, and also where I've been working for past 15 years.) on 7th of April 2017 and its over 60 days, status still the same.

Anything i could do? email them and they ask to wait and it say need to wait 90 days instead of 60 days.
Any advice and should i worry?

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

Interview Date: May 11, 2017 @ 7.45am.

I arrived at the embassy at 7.30am. The embassy was still quite empty and there is only another family in front of me. They ask for my Appointment letter and IC, give me the tag and I was let in. I brought my 18months old son (dual citizenship), and the staffs were very helpful! They guide me to the "elevator" as i brought a stroller. The "elevator" is not a usual elevator, you need to keep pressing the "up"/"down" button to go up/down else it will stop in the middle 😂.

When I enter the second building, i did another scan and the lady checked my bags. She took out my sons toy and ask if its battery operated, which is not. So in case you taking your kids with you make sure the toys that you bring is not battery operated.

I get my number and I am number 3 in line. By 7.50am they start calling the numbers. They have 3 counters opened, hence I was called rightaway. The lady at the counter ask me to... read complete review

For the second time, first time they called to inform that

Processing then 3 months later we get a call that we need to submit

Processing they need the passport to escalate it from administrative processing
Then as soon as they are done they will issue the visa ,we did submit it but it's been with them for over 2 weeks now , has anyone been in this same situation or has anything to say please I'm willing to hear anything
