The interview went well. The officers are nice and smile all the time. They asked me simple questions like, how did we met each other, what am I planning to do in states and simple stuff. Approved within seconds.

The Embassy people were quite helpful and did their job well.
Mr. Saravanan also helped to sort documents out and told me to come in personally to submit certain documents if I wanted to move things along quickly. Well done, Kuala Lumpur embassy!

I must say that after the paperwork for the K1 petition in the US was done and they sent it to Kuala Lumpur, things move pretty fast. I found the local embassy staff to be very helpful and efficient once you get used to the idea that you must talk to them on the correct day and hour or the best thing is to just e-mail them at their website address : klconsular@state.gov

Once you receive packet 3 which is the acknowledgment letter and instructions from the local US embassy, things move pretty fast.

You then walk up a sidewalk and a few steps into the consulate. There you are screened again. They will take your watch and cell phone of course, but give it back. You then go into the consulate which is on your right. There are 5 windows and you go to the window and advise what you need. You then sit down and wait for your name to be called. You pay at window 5. If you are getting a VISA it will either be issued the day of, or the next day. When you leave you stop by the security desk and pick up your watch or cell phone. You have to leave your backpack, luggage at the gate house and you are given a numbered metal disk to give them as you leave and yo... read complete review
