Review Topic: K1 Visa

I arrived there at 7:15AM, the embassy was closed by then, so i went to some bakery and had a chocolate croisstant.. I went back to the embassy at 7:50AM, and was able to get inside at 8:15 after a thorough security check at the door. I took a number from the reception and went in. The called in my number and i gave them the required documents. I was called back in like 30 mins to go in for the interview... everything went smooth, the counselor was very nice and supportive. I got approved in like 8 minutes but she added, I'm not be able to give me the visa right away, your application requires additional administrative processing (t-country) "she didn't say this" but it's obvious........ she handed me a 221g white form, and told me we will call you and send you an email in like 1-2 weeks. Lebanon is considered one of the T-Countries.. my bad! oh i forgot to add that the electricity went off and on in a blink of any eye ...

Review Topic: General Review

My husband had his interview this morning. I stayed up all night long waiting to hear from him. He said that everyone that he spoke to at the Embassy was very courteous and nice...made him feel very comfortable. When he checked in, a very nice woman told him that he didn't need to give them anything since they already had all of the required documents. I front loaded the petition which seemed to be beneficial. She asked my husband if he wanted to speak English or Arabic for the interview. He chose to speak English. The CO asked him general questions about how we met, wanted to know all of the details, questions about me and my family and other general interview questions. He said the CO smiled the entire time he was being interviewed. The interview lasted 10 minutes and he was approved. After the CO stamped his paperwork with "Approved", he asked the CO if he was really approved...he just wanted to hear it again. The CO smiled and said yes, your visa is approved and gave my husband an ... read complete review

Review Topic: K1 Visa

My fiance arrived about 30 minutes early. The office outside the embassy looked through his paperwork, said everything was in order and then he went in. The whole process took about 2 hours (interview at 8:30am and he called me to say he finished at 10:30am).
The interviewer asked him:
1) About his job (in the government)
2) Has he ever been to US before (no)
3) Why does he want to go to the US now (To be with me!)
He said the actual interview was under 10 minutes.

He was verbally approved as soon as he brings that I-134 ORIGINAL to the embassy (will do that on Monday after DHL package gets there). They said he will receive the visa a few days after he drops of the paperwork and his passport... I don't think there will be any additional processing at this point, but we'll wait to see once he has visa IN HAND.
