Review Topic: K1 Visa

My fiancé arrived at the embassy and was told he could not enter until exactly 1pm. At his appt time he went through security, he was not allowed to keep anything on him except his documents and his belt.
He was screened first to make sure he had the documents required. He then sat back down and waited for his name to be called. When his name was called the officer asked him his name and date of birth.
Questions asked:
-My divorce papers
-I-134
-His passport
-his birth certificate
-When we met
-if he has a relationship with my children
-where and when the wedding will be?
-how many times I have visited him.
Then she said he was approved and once his medical is back his visa will be issued.

My K1 visa interview was on August 8, 2023.

I forgot to indicate that the embassy retained me and my children's passport to insert the K1 visa and I was told to collect them in 2 weeks at the designated collection location.
The Consulate Officer also indicated that me she has to cancel my 10 years tourist visa, this was done in my presence before i left the interview window.

Overall, it was a good experience for me and my children as the Consulate Officer was very respectful and her customer service was good, she made me feel comfortable and not nervous, at one point during the interview, I almost forgot the magnitude of being at the embassy.

Please note that not everyone who came for their interviews were successful for some reason of another.

Please have all docs in your possession when you go for your interview.

I took all that I was requested as per their Package 3, however, they only took the following: * Birth cert - original and copy were presented, they took the copy * Police Report - they took the original; * W2 - they took that; * Original Financial Affidavit (I-134), one for me and each of my children - they took those; * No-Impediment to marry, me and my eighteen year old - they took the originals; * My marriage cert - original and copy - they took the original; * My Divorce doc - they took the coop only; * My fiance's divorce doc - they took a copy; NB. The medical was sent to the embassy by the immigration doctors. The other documents that were mentioned in the NVC welcome letter as well as ... read complete review

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

I went to my husband’s interview with him in Jamaica. Our interview was for 8am. We arrived a few minutes after 8. Outside they asked for his interview letter and 2 passport sized pictures. We went straight to the front of the first line.
After entering we went through the metal detectors and entered another line. We waited in that line for about 15 mins. Once we got inside the next part of the embassy we were seated to the right side and waited for about 90 mins for my husbands name to be called. Once called the nice gentleman asked my husband for the marriage certificate, his birth certificate and his police certificate. He did his fingerprints as well. He then instructed us to sit back down and listen to my husband’s name to be called again. We waited for about 30 mins again. This time the window we went to it was a really nice lady. She was so happy to see me there with my husband. Questions asked:

How did we meet?
Does your wife have ki... read complete review
