My husband and I have a unique situation. He is from Cote d'Ivoire, but we met while we were both living and working in Myanmar (Burma). So, his interview was at the embassy here in Yangon, Myanmar (Rangoon, Burma).

Before the interview I was sure to print every picture of us together, which was about 400. That's including our wedding photos, engagement photos, and all photos of our dating years AND post marriage. I organized them all in a nice album with labels and everything.

I also organized all plane tickets, bus tickets and hotel receipts from any/all trips taken from quick weekend trips to the beach to our honeymoon weekend and our tickets from Phuket, Thailand back to Myanmar.

I organized and labeled all of these in Ziploc bags according to the trips and dates.

I included all letters and copies of all correspondence with my lawyer in the US and USCIS as well as NVC officials during the process in a labeled envelo... read complete review

Hello vj,

My husband went to his interview and hopedfully everything went well. The embassy called him in the morning to remind him of his appointment......interesting. They asked him if he had current police certificate, birth certificate ect.... I am surprise that they even called. He went by himself, I couldn't go with him because of work so I was patiently waiting by the phone. Maybe not that patient. He was there for 3.5 hours. He said that they were so busy inside. Here is exactly what happen.

1. Intake took all of his documents
2. The CO asked him to raise his hand and swear. He did
3. The CO gave him all of our USCIS and NVC front load and said these are from your wife. We don't need them so it is your gift to keep.
3. The CO told him we will call you in a week or two it will take us sometime to print the visa and required document. They gave him the domestic violence pamphlet and told him to read it. He said they were very... read complete review

My husband was asked about 10 questions ~ none of which were about our marriage / relationship really. The interviewer asked how many children I have, how many children he has, the name of my childrens father, where my childrens father lives, what I do for a living, what my husband does for a living, what the "W" in my address stands for, when he saw me last, when we talked on the phone last and what we talked about? It took all of 10 minutes. They didn't ask to see ANY of our 10+ pounds of evidence I sent to him, not the pictures, chats, emails ~ NOTHING. Gave him a white piece of paper, no approval, no denial. Said they call him and kept his passport. There were 6 other people there that day and they ALL left with white pieces of paper with no approvals or denials. FRUSTRATING!!
