The guy I dealt with in Dublin was actually really nice and helpful as are most of the staff there. Unfortunately he's since been moved. As we had to submit the I-601 and my husband was in the US he allowed him to call him to clarify things on the phone which was really useful. He also gave the package a recomendation for approval before sending it to London so finger crossed!

Had my interview... well it was more like a Q for the Cinema. Got into the office with about 15 other people and had to wait for about 40 mintues. Then we were asked to sign a form and had to wait again. They then called us all one by one, but not into an office, just up to the top of the room, everyone could see and hear us. Went through the forms to make sure everything was okay, mine was thank God (Others weren't and were sent away until they got the paperwork right) Then an American Lady came and asked some questions like "When did you meet" etc. She was happy with my answers so i got the Visa about 30 mintues later. All in all it took about two and a half hours, the experiance itself i found them to be kind of cold and not very friendly but i guess we all have our off days, on other reviews i was told they were really nice so i guess i had one of the off days. But i go my Visa so i'm happy.

No problems, generally positive experience. The actual interview took a minute, maybe two. "Have you ever been to the US?" and "Have you met your fiancee?". Unfortunately, due to some computer problems, I couldn't receive my visa on the same day.
A bit of advice:
- After sending the checklist to the consulate, wait about a week and call them. They will try to accommodate you if you ask for a particular interview date.
- According to the Packet 3 they send you, you can bring either color or b&w photos. However, they told me that the systems sometimes rejects b&w photos, so get color ones for safety.
- 80 Euro is an approximate payment. Depending on the exchange ratio you may be asked to pay more, so take some money with you.

The people at the Dublin Embassy are amazing. They made a few errors, but overall they were extremely helpful to us. If anyone has any questions please feel free to pm me.

Here is a summary of my interview experience following application for a CR-1 visa directly via DCF thru the US Embassy in Dublin, Ireland.
Rule number 1 is to double/triple check your documentation. The Dublin Embassy will be anal about it. I was number 3 in line and watched the 2 people ahead of me being told they did not have the correct documentation, one had a baptismal cert not a birth cert as was required and another did not have their spouses 2005 taxes filed and even though they said they had requested an extension with the IRS, they had no proof of the extension. But the staff were nice and explained exactly which documents were missing and told the people ahead of me to contact the Embassy again for another interview when they had the missing documents ready. Although the officer did get annoyed at having to make copies of docs such as Marriage certs that people wanted back but did not bring copies with them, so make sure you bring copies!
