Review Topic: K1 Visa

Interview was quick and easy. Counsellor checked our documents and asked few questions about me and my fiancée like name, age, address, plans about our marriage and reminded me that we only have 90 days to get married.

Then he checked all our documents and approved the visa.

My interview was scheduled at 7:15 am. I had reached the consulate at 6:15 am. The security asked us to start forming queues for the interview at 6:30 am. We were called inside the consulate by 6:45am. While entering the consulate, the officers checked for passport and NVC interview appointment letter.

We were given token numbers as we entered inside, according to our preferred language for interview. There were two rounds to complete the interview process. We were called on the window as per our token number.

First round:
The aim of this round was to collect original documents from us. The officer asked the following questions:
1) Who is calling you?
2) How long have you been married?
3) Have you been to US before? If yes, how many times, on what visa and for how long?
4) Do you have your husband's financial documents from IRS?
5) Is this yours and your husband's first marriage?
