MEDICAL!
I had my medical done at Iaso General a couple of days ago. When I booked my interview I was told by the doctor that I should get my flu shot before my medical appointment with him; my app was at 10:30am, so I got there about 30 mins early just to be safe! Mr Doumazos was very polite and asked me a few questions regarding my fiance and I just so he could break the ice. Once he filled in the vaccination checklist and examined me, he gave me a receipt and then I had to go downstairs to get my blood test done, and then head over to Building A to get the final part of the medical: the X-ray! The whole process took about two hours and went really smoothly!

My interview experience at the Athens embassy was relatively pleasant.
You are asked to turn your phones off and hand over all electronic devices and leave them in the security area before proceeding to the waiting room.
My advice here, bring a book or magazine because the wait is quite long. There were only 5 of us in the waiting room all in all for immigrant visas and I was there for close to 4 hours! Or even better, strike up a conversation with the nearest person, trust me it will make the time go by quicker.
Once in the waiting room I was given a number by the security guard stationed there (she was very nice) and asked me to wait and keep my eyes on the screens.
After about 25mins later my number was called, and I was asked by the embassy employee to hand over my passport then told me to go back outside and wait.
About 40 mins later my number was called again and the same lady that took my passport asked me to sit down. ... read complete review

The whole process was very smooth. I spoke with two ladies. The first one got the papers I had been asked to bring with me and asked me some questions. She also gave me back my x-ray and told me that I should bring it with me at the POE. The conversation was in Greek. Then I had to wait for about two hours before I talked to the consul. She asked me if I speak English, I said yes, and then she had me swear that the papers I submitted and the information I was about to give was truthful, according to my knowledge. Then, she took my fingerprints and asked me more or less the same questions as the first lady, wanting to know more details. The questions were:
- How did we first meet
- When and how we met in person. If I stayed at his place and if it felt somehow strange to me.
- How many times I have been in the US and for how long.
- About our previous marriages and divorces
- If I have kids. If he has kids. How old are they. If I have met them, when and... read complete review

Interview was at 8:15 am on February 19, arrived at 8 and then waited outside for almost an hour. The embassy was very busy so there was a lot of waiting inside. The first time my number was called I was interviewed by a Greek women in a room, and she asked which language I would prefer, and I chose English. She asked a few questions like: How did you meet your wife? Why did you live in Russia? Where have you worked?
After some more waiting I was then called in again and this time the American officer was there with the Greek woman from before, he again asked what language I preferred and again I chose English. He asked about my father-in-law being my sponsor and he asked to see the tax transcripts from 2010, which I had. He also asked how I met my wife. I asked if he wanted to see any of the evidence I had brought (my wife had composed a very large accordion folder full of papers) and he took our photo album and glanced at some of the pictures and then put it with the o... read complete review

Medical Exam & K-1 Interview
I had my medical exam two weeks before my scheduled interview appointment. I chose to go to Evrokliniki ( Ευρωκλινική. I had a 1:30pm appointment and I was done at 2:05. The doctor checked my vaccination records and sent me to the nearby pharmacy to buy 2 more vaccines ( Flu shot and a Booster for Polio and such). He gave me the shots, completed the vaccination sheet and at the end he gave me a copy of it to keep.
He also took my blood pressure, checked my pulse, weight and hight, and did all the regular things that doctors do with the stethoscope. The only questions he asked was about my last period, if I was taking any medicine, major surgeries etc. He never asked me for alcohol or drug abuse and other things or checked my vision. I was done with it.
I went to another room to have some blood taken and then downstairs to have a chest X-ray. The woman at t... read complete review
