Embassy received from NVC all the files on 11/9/2015. We completed all the DS-160 and the rest documents. Embassy received our package on 11/20/2015. How long usually takes to call you for an interview? Do they send an email?

It seems that they already call you for an interview.

I would like to ask some more things. Send me an email if possible at msofos@ais-inc.com

Thanks and good luck with the interview.

Mike

If you are reading this please be very very very careful of the steps that you take in the system in Yatri. Further down i will explain why.

First of all, i got information about my case, medical and paperwork needed about two weeks after my case had been received in Greece. I have to admit that stress was building by then. Good point is that everyone was very polite and as helpful as they could be on the phone, bad point is that the instructions e-mail i was forwarded had the wrong instructions. Which i did not know by then, i got to find out after i met the consul.. But, okay!

Medical appointment: I went for my medical in Euro-clinic and although the procedure was quite simple, i am afraid the doctor i had to meet was a little bit chaotic. At first he came to greet me, and he forwarded me to the cashier where i paid and got my vouchers for X-ray and blood test. I had the X-ray in 10 minutes and blood was taken in 5 more, after that i had to wai... read complete review

Medical : I had my medical scheduled at the Euroclinic 2 weeks prior to my interview date. It all went pretty fast and easy, all the necessary vaccinations were made there. Just had to go to the pharmacy and buy them. If you have health insurance which would cover those expenses (like IKA) make sure you'll bring your health booklet. X-Ray and blood tests are done and will be all send directly to the embassy.
Embassy: Interview was scheduled for 8:30am. We (my daughther on K2 and me) left the building at 12:45pm. So it all takes a few hours but didn't seem that long since they keep calling you for several things. And it took an hour to get through security check because they only take one or two persons in at the time and we were about 40 people waiting to get in. Most of them for temporary visa though and they were all scheduled for 8 or 8:20am. If you don't want to wait till last like we did, you should tell the security lady out there that you are there for immigrant visa. see... read complete review

The people working at the Embassy are so friendly!I have been going to that Embassy since 2008 getting all sort of visas like a J-1 (exchange visitor), a few B-2 (tourist), and F-1 (international student), and every single time I have been treated great. Today, both ladies (Greek and American) were awesome and they practically asked the same questions; however, I wouldn't really stress over it - they were simple questions that you could definitely answer if you are in a serious relationship. The only downside to it was that they hadn't received my medical, so they now have to reach out to Iaso General for them to send them(medical), and then issue my Visa. Also, make sure you bring a book etc and eat beforehand because you will spend at least three hours there.... My appointment was at 8:30 and I didn't walk out of there till 11:30 am. All in all, it all went smoothly!
