All went well; undoubtedly the advice given regarding the REQUIRED presence of the U.S. citizen at the interview was INDISPENSIBLE for our excellent outcome. A well-labeled packet of photos seemed to be very beneficial. Detailed records regarding telephone calls and a transcribed file of text messages and emails were reviewed carefully and benefited our case, without a doubt. But, as noted elsewhere on this forum, they won't look at your phone records if the U.S. citizen is not present at the first contact interview.

Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa

The Consulate is Guayaquil. We had the interview on May 8, 2008 at 10:00am. I must say I was surprised about the whole process, the people at the embassy were very helpful and professional. We arrived around 8:30 am, waited until his name was called. Once his name was called we need to go to window two, where a woman did a pre-interview about our relationship and showed her proof of our relationship. Once she was satisfied with all the documentation she told us to sit back down and waited for his name to be called again. His name was called to go to another room for fingerprints. Once that was done the last call was with the consulate, we were both going in, but at once the consulate told me to wait outside. The interview was about five minutes and he asked more about me and my family. Once that was done he approved his visa. We went to DHL to pay for his visa ($6.00) and waited until the passport arrived.

The actual interview took place in Guayaquil. The interview went well until my fiancee disclosed the fact that she is pregnant, the consul say everything was fine but he needed proof of pregnancy and conception. She received the actual visa a month and 20 days later, so that has been a desperate wait....

VISA TYPE IR-5
My parents appointment took place on May 6th, 2008 at 7:15am. They arrived 30 to 45 minute before their scheduled time. Around 7:00am, they let them get inside the consulate and around 7:20am they got called to a window, where some documentation was reviewed and they asked to signed the 230 form. Half hour later, they were called to get fingerprinted; another half hour later they were called to have an interview with the a US Consul He asked them few questions about how long I (petitioner) live in the US; how many time they have come to visit and if they have stayed more than 6 months. Few minutes later, he told them that their Visa is approved and they needed to go a DHL office to have their passports delivered home. My parents needed the passports sooner that the 10 days that it was going to take to have them delivered; therefore they went back to the US consulate and they were told to come back around 3:30pm to pick them up. They came back at 3:30pm and their... read complete review

Review Topic: K1 Visa

Well my fiancee finally got her visa. I asked her for all the details cause i wanted to know how it went so i could post a review and well to see how God had helped us. One of the things that i must say is that it appears to me that the consulate in Guayaquil is beginning to ask more frequently for the fiancee to go with the petitioner to the interview. I know it has been said that the fiancee is not allowed but this is changing. She mentioned that most fiancees there were with the petitioner aside from her and another girl. This had her a bit nervous cause they are were telling her that i needed to be there.

Anyways, she went thru several check points where they asked for the same story on how we met and son on. Finally she was waiting for the final interview with the consulate officer and she noticed that one lady had gone in and they had told her she needed to have her fiance come to another interview. This made her nervous cause it only kept confirming what everyone ... read complete review
