We had our interview on April 7 scheduled at 6:00AM. We arrived at the embassy 4:30AM and the line was already huge!! After about 45 minutes, some embassy workers in yellow shirts came out and started breaking up the line into four lines according to types of visa interviews. It was complete confusion and the first worker told us to get in the wrong line!! After we figured things out and got in the correct line, we finally entered the embassy around 8:30. After about 15 minutes inside, we were called to window 25 to submit our forms and supporting documents. We received a numbered ticket. Another half hour later, we were called to window 13 to get her fingerprints taken. After that, we waited until around 2:45 for the actual interview. We were called to window 21, were the consul agent swore us in in Spanish. He spent several minutes looking over the documents. He read several of our emails. Then he asked me the following questions in English:

We arrived at 4 20am. There were about twenty something people in line already. The wait till they let us into the building wasn't too bad. There was a viejo selling te and cafe. I highly recommend the tea. It is very yummy.
Anyways, they starting checking passports at around 6 15 and started collecting blue slips at 6 40. We were in the building at 7 10. Ladies make sure you don't have too much junk in your handbag because security takes EVERYTHING out and inspects each item one by one. So, the more stuff you have in your bag,the longer it will take them to go through it.
At 8 15 we were called to window 14 by name. The gentleman at this window collected the application forms,864 including tax info and w2, the 2x2 photos, medical results, cedula, and my novios passport. I gave a photocopy of the 864 so I can use the original for AOS. The copy was accepted. We were given a number and told to watch and listen for it.
At 9 10 we were called to window 13 for fi... read complete review

Smooth interview. Was asked
1) How we met
2) Did any of my family members attend the wedding or had been to the country to meet her
3) Had she ever applied for a visa of any kind.
That's it. Congrats!
We did have to wait a few hours to be called.

It’s official!!!
We’re moving to the Adjustment Of Status Board (AOS)!!!
We’re APPROVED!!!
First a brief intro for those of you that don’t know much about me. For those reading days/weeks or even months later… We had our interview on March 10 th, 2008 @ 6:00 am. We had a K-1/K-2 - Fiancé Visa Petition.
My SO has two boys from previous relationships, 12 and 7 year old. When I went to see her in October, 2007, we got pregnant!!! Right now… 5 ½ months pregnant. I came to DR to the interview March 5th, 2008. On the 6th, we went for an ultrasound and it’s a GIRL!!! Very happy about the news, because I have a boy (12) and a girl (10).
I want to share our successful interview account. I will try to give you as much detail as possible; I apologize ahead of time if it turns out to be a super long account… so here it is:
We stayed at the Marriott, just one block from the US Embassy. We checked in on... read complete review

We lined up at about 515 AM along with all the other Immigrant Visa Applicants. We were made it into the consulate at about 8:30AM. As soon as we entered we sat down on the metal benches and less than 5 minutes after being their my wife was called over the PA system to go to window 13. When we got there she was given a number and we were handed back some papers which weren't needed for the case. After this we sat down again. And at about 8:45AM my wife's number appeared on the screen and was instructed to go to window 14. This time they took her digital fingerprints of all 10 fingers. We sat down again after this. And about less than five minutes later my wife's number was displayed again and instructed to go to window 19. Here we were greeted by a nice young lady who I greeted by saying "Good Morning". She told us to raise our right hand and swore us in. After this it was almost like a casual conversation with her she asked me: "When did I meet my wife?", "Did I have any fa... read complete review
