I filed on June 4 and we got our visa approved on July 9 at the interview. It was extremely quick and easy. The embassy answered all our questions by email in a timely manner. My husband wasn't asked many questions at his interview, which he said lasted between 5-10 minutes. They didn't ask for any evidence of our relationship, even though it was on the list they gave us of things to take to the interview. We didn't have a single problem, and everyone at the embassy was really nice and helpful.

well she didn't have a second letter of intent from me saying i was still willing to marry her. so i had to send a fax and an email.
other than that everything went well

My fiance had his interview today. He was approved! His interview was at 1:30. The interviewer at the window was late and arrived an hour later at 2:30. He then waited for about two hours. The man asked him for my I-134 and tax information. He asked him what his fiancee did for a living in the U.S. He told him everything was in order and to go to the Consulate's window (window #4). The man there asked him if he had been to the U.S. before and for how long (once in 2000, tourist visa) and where we met (U.S.). He asked my fiance why he had applied for a tourist visa to Miami last year (my fiance told him we were planning a vacation there, it would have been a half-way point more or less for us to meet but he was denied). My fiance then told the officer that not getting that tourist visa was not a problem. I had managed to visit him 4 times within the last year!! Amazing! The Embassy in Santiago is great. The process of applying for the CR-1 visa was very easy. DCF is the way to go if your wife or family member is Chilean. My wife's visa was approved in a few mins after speaking with the American consulate at the Embassy. And the interview was scheduled even before we spoke w/ the consulate. The staff at the Embassy was very helpful, explaining the next phase of the visa process! DCF is the best method of filling for this type of visa for Chileans!

Our appointment was for 2:00PM, We entered the consulate at about 1:30pm and received a ticket for immigrant visas. When our number was called and we went to the window. The lady check that we had everything in order. Next, we wait for Consular Interview. Our Visa was approved after few questions (Family Based Visa) Total time in the Consulate: 1:30hrs. Our Visa was sent to us by mail. All personal in the Consulate are very nice.
