I arrived outside of the consulate at 6:35am. I know it was really early, but I didn't have a chance the night before to do my walk-around to make sure I knew where it was, and I wanted to be sure to allow time for myself to get lost along the way (which I now realize was pretty impossible from La Tour). No one else showed up until 7:15, but by the time the doors opened at 7:30 there were about a dozen people lined up. It was pooooouring rain, and I was the only one with an umbrella (I'd checked the weather report before leaving for Montreal the day before).
SECURITY:
The guard at the door was very brisk and serious. He unlocked the door and asked if he could help me. I said that I had an appointment today and showed him my interview letter and passport. He verified the date on the letter and looked at my passport, then asked if I had any electronics such as a cell phone on me. I said no. The interview process was pretty smooth. Not too many questions. The main thing was that you can't bring a cell phone or a bag into the consulate at all. So, make sure you leave those in your car or at your hotel/home.

The interview went pretty well. It turned out to be an interview for my US spouse. I was not questioned very much. Not bad~

Interview date Nov 26, 2008. All the other reviews are pretty accurate. Showed up at 7am and waited for them to open the doors at 7:30 to go through security. Then you go down the stairs and wait for the elevator to take you up.
Upstairs is a bit more waiting, but we were first so your name gets called to go back and talk to the first person and give them your passport pics and mailer and she just asks a few questions, how long have you been married? visits etc. Then you go sit a bit more then called back to do fingerprints to the same person.
After that you wait again then called to the closet room for the actual interview, get sworn in. She didn't ask too much, we have a domicile issue, so that was most of that everything was about. She did ask him if he was ever arrested anywhere in the world, told him she didn't need to see the x-ray and can basically forget about it and told him is medical is all good. Had a little chat then the domicile thing came up. Had some pro... read complete review

Easy and fast. However the lady at the counter insisted that my daughter was eligible for K4 (which we knew she wasn't), but of course a month later the same lady admitted that she was in error. So much for the employees being the experts....
