Greetings everyone my fiance had her interview on Dec 7 2009 at the US Embassy in Yaounde, Cameroon. The process went fairly well and the employees was very nice to her. When my fiance came to the embassy 3 individuals greeted her. The first person asked for the papers 156; 156k and 157, made verification and took the passport pics also asked for visa money. After this she was asked to have a seat and wait.
Next the other person asked for all the other papers affidavit of support, letter from my job and last 3 pay checks etc and other documents like e mail , chat, finger prints, income taxes( I had transcripts) pics me and her. This embassy was very easy to navigate through. My fiance was out of the country on business when the embassy tried to contact him to pick of the package 3, so they emailed me and I was able to relay the message to him. After returning to Cameroon he was able to go to the embassy and pick up the documents. He then began his medicals. After the medical was complete, he was able to schedule his appointment for his interview. The first date was automatically generated, then he recieved an email of the actual date.
He reported to the interview ahead of the appointment time, he was called back right away and the interviewer reviewed our pictures and then only asked him one question, How did we meet? He answered. The interviewer responded, Visa approved!!!

Spoke to them on the phone and it looks like they are going to help. They could not have been nicer. I have to complete a divorce and then off the Bata EG to get married. I will continue to update. I have received so much help from VJ I think it only right to give Back.

Well our interview was quite a while ago, and most on here are so good and nice, that I was surprised when we were put in Admin Processing.
My fiance's Interview was on October 17, 2007. He went in and said everything went great! He talked to the girl who took all his documents and gave the welcome to America booklet and everything... had the interview with the officer and everything went fine. Since he had done the medical exam the same morning, the officer told him that they needed to finish up processing it, and he should hear something in a month. Well that started our AP journey. I emailed the embassy every 2 weeks after that, and while they were very quick to respond to my emails, they were very vague about what was going on and what was taking so long. My fiance is not originally from Germany, he is Cameroonian, so that may have had something to do with it, but finally, after almost 4 months they emailed us and said they were mailing it out this week!! hurray!!
