The interview went smooth, they went through my paperwork at the back for almost 2h, the actual interview was not more than 7 min, the questions were about our relationship. They have problems now with printing visas, so I need to wait I don't know how long till they give the package and my passport.

I was able to schedule an interview within a week after the consulate received my petition from NVC. I didn't receive packet 4, I just looked on the website for the documents needed for the interview. My interview was at 1:30pm but I went in about 1:05pm, I gave my passport at check in, went through security and then was directed to go to a window to pay my visa fee. Second window I was asked a few questions from a Bulgarian, when did I meet my fiancé, when was the last time I saw her, where does she work and what does she do for work. After that I was directed to another window where the consulate was I was asked same questions by her and also when did we become romantic with my fiancé. She then said my visa was approved and I will receive it within 1-2 days. Overall it was 20 minutes and a really good experience. My interview was on a Tuesday and I got my visa Friday the same week. All the evidence for relationship was returned to me.

The medical i did at Greenberg,... read complete review

My mom just called me and said she got approved! javascript:emoticon('')

The whole experience was fairly quick, the interview with the consul was only 5 minutes. An idiot Bulgarian employee stressed her out before that, saying that my income is not enough to cover poverty level for a family of three. Absolute bull! That woman never took into account the fact that my husband`s income is added to mine to make it work! She never even suggested to mom if I had any joint sponsors or anything to inquire into the details, she just stated it`s not enough and that`s it, putting mom in a state of panic!!! I am so angry at those insensitive know-it-alls who think they are any kind of experts on immigration papers!!! Mom got very confused but gave her the newer paystubs and newer employment letter that I gave mom to show to the consul that I was recently promoted and was making even more money. (Which was not even needed, since our income stands way over the 125... read complete review

I had an interview for 14:00. Showed up at 13:45 and they let me in after looking at my passport. Went through security and had to leave my phone with them then I walked down to the building and checked with security there (they gave me a list with instructions how to organize my paperwork). I paid the fee at the cash desk and sat down to organize. After about 20 minutes they called me up to a desk and a bulgarian person asked me how we met and after that for all the paperwork in order one by one so he could inspect it. That took about 10 minutes and he gave me a dhl delivery slip to fill out and saod he will be back in 10. I waited and he gave me back a copy of it with a tracking number and asked for a photo album. Then told me to wait to be called for an interview. I waited about 20 minutes until I was up (with only 1 other k1 and 1 family that was already being intervied at another desk). I got asked how we met and then the lady lead the conversation to our next meeting, asked me wh... read complete review

Here's a summary of my interview experience at the US Embassy in Sofia.

I arrived half an hour earlier before the actual appointment time listed in the interview letter. The security let me in (they did not want to see the appointment letter, only checked my passport). I went through the same type of security inspection as the one done at an airport (I did not carry anything else with me except for a big extendable folder with docs, no cell, no tablet, etc.)

I waited exactly half an hour for the first part of the interview to take place. I was called at a window to present the original documents that were not previously submitted to NVC:
- Original Birth Certificate in Bulgarian + Translated in English and legalized
- Original Marriage Certificate (original, issued by the state of MA)
- Original Certificate of Clean Criminal Records in Bulgarian, Свидетелство ... read complete review
