US Embassy in Bolivia was great to work with. They were kind and pleasant. When we had questions, we were able to email the embassy and received quick and courteous responses.

We had lots of paperwork and evidence of our relationship: fotos, letters, letters from my minister, Wedding planning and preparation items.

I accompanied my fiancee for the Interview. Prior to the face to face interview, all of the documents were reviewed, fingerprints taken and then the face to face (through a glass wall/window - like what you might find at a bank teller). The interview was straightforward: questions about how we met, when we met and how long we have been a couple. Then they asked my fiancee to sign her name and print my name.

A few days later I recieved an email from the Embasssy that Visas had been sent to the DHL office, where my fiancee will pick them up.

All in all, it was a very long wait while USCIS plodded, but once we received... read complete review

The consulate directed all comunication toward me (the petitioner) via email, and then I shared the details with my fiancee. I was glad about this, and not having to worry about the unreliable mail delivery in Bolivia. As we were preparing the documentation to send in ahead of her interview, I had a couple questions. I emailed the embassy and they were extremely responsive and courteous in replying.

My fiancee's interview was scheduled for 1:30 in the afternoon. She arrived plenty early, and was sent away by a security guard and told to return 15 minutes before her appointment. When she entered, she was directed to sit and wait. Eventually a lady called her up, had her fill out our names on form, and asked her only one question: How did we meet? My fiancee took the opportunity to give a good explanation of our background. She also attempted to show additional physical evidence she had brought (ie, gifts sent from my parents) but the lady was not interested in see... read complete review

The Consulate was very good and always answered our questions via email. The only anxious moment came when days before the interview, they asked for the I-864 form, we thought it was only for the AOS, but the Consulate demanded it and my fiance bring it the day of the appointment. My fiance arrived in time, the only bad thing was that he waited more than two hours. First, he was called to a window where a lady treated him for biometrics. Then he sat down to wait until he was called to another window. A lady, about 60 years was the interviewer. The interview took less than ten minutes. They asked how we met, how many times we have visited, information about my family, what he would do in the United States. They were simple questions that my fiance was able to respond safely. They returned to him documents and photos of us, that they did not need. Visa approved! They told him the steps to continue to wait for his visa by DHL in his city. He left happy and relaxed that the worst is over.... read complete review

Everything progressed smoothly. Interviewed by one person behind glass window - questions about when/where we met etc. The interview itself probably lasted about 10 minutes. However, the entire process took a couple of hours.
