The interview started with the visa assistant going over the submission with me to make sure everything was complete and taking the $131. Once that was done the CO had me swear that all of the information in my application was true and sign the fiancee visa form. That was it. She asked no questions at all.

I arrived about 15 minutes prior to the scheduled appointment. After going through security I was directed to the main building where I had to wait for a couple of minutes until I was called to the cashier's counter to pay the visa fee. At another window, I handed over my medical and my passport. After taking my fingerprints at another counter, I had to sign another form. Then the Consular Officer said: "Congratulations, you're visa is approved! You can pick up your passport next Tuesday.


I spend around 15 to 20 minutes at the Consulate. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Couldn't have asked for a more pleasant process. Thank you to everyone at the US Consulate in Hamilton!!!!
