Everything went very smoothly. The people at the consulate were very nice. No problems with security, and they were very nice. Took all of our electrical equipment (We came from the plane.) Their credit card machine wasn't working, so my husband had to run for a ATM, but aside from that, no troubles at all. We were asked some minor questions, about where we were going to live, what my husband did, and he said we were very prepared. That is COMPLETELY because of visajourney. Thank you so much to everyone who contributes. And to the Sydney Consulate for being so lovely and making us feel welcome. Especially after getting only two hours of sleep before. xo.

Super easy, less than 30 mins at the consulate and everyone is positive and friendly to make the process a smooth success. No additional information asked for except for passport, express envelope and confirmation of visa payment.

We were really nervous. We got up so early and arrived over an hour early. I was in Australia for Christmas so I was able to go to the interview with hubby. We entered the consulate and didn't know if I would be able to go with him but they let me right in. We were called to the first window and the lady took our paperwork and said wait for fingerprinting. Hubby was fingerprinted and then they called us to the next window for the interview. The man who was really really nice asked if I liked Colorado and asked if I lived near Evergreen which I do. I was worried because I didn't know if I was able to answer. He asked Paul how long we were married. Paul answered and he said great. Your visa has been approved, here is the tracking number. No questions for my hubby at all other than how long we have been married.

Was one of the first ones there for the 8am appointment in sydney. Lined up and had to give photo ID and the interview letter to the security guard, then had to go through security check...same kinda thing as at airports. Then was told to sit down and wait. Approx 10 mins later, the first line of people(myself included) went alltogether on the lift up to level 59, where there was another ID and security check...all which was pretty easy. Then we through to the section where it all happens and was told to take a number for the visa i was applying for and then take a seat. Called up about 10 mins later and had to hand over all the paperwork/info etc that they asked me to bring on my check list, then had to take a seat. Called up shortly after to do the fingerprint scanning, then take a seat again and wait for interview. Only waited bout 5-10 mins and was called up to another window for the interview part(which is how i dealt with everyone i spoke to in this section....behind glass window... read complete review

Easy interview, very pleasant. The most difficult part was the wait (2 1/2 hours). Were asked the following questions: "so you are getting married?", "when do you plan on getting married?" and "where do you plan to live in the US?"

Bring a book and enjoy the great view!
