Sydney Consulate was great. Smooth process. The best advice is to be very prepared with all your documents

The process was very straightforward, the entire “interview” lasted about 5 minutes. I didn’t have to provide any evidence of the relationship. They only wanted to see the required documents (i.e. medical report, police checks, etc.). I was denied/refused on the spot because I had ordered the incorrect type of police report from both Australia and New Zealand. The immigration officer handed me a piece of paper and told me I needed to submit the correct police reports before my case would be approved.

I had a great experience. It didn't make up for a year's delay due to relocating the consulate from Martin Place to Nth Sydney but the whole process was smooth and I was in and out in 45 min. The interview itself was barely 3-5 min.

Go in for security, gave them my phone and car keys (I drove and parked at Greenwood Plaza directly opposite so I could leave everything else in the car). Went up in the lift to lvl 5 and stood in line to hand over my docs. First lady asked for original and copies of civil docs, most recent taxes, I-134 and medical. Then I did my fingerprints and got given a number to sit and wait for my interview. It was quite informal and we all sat on huge benches at the windows and chatted to each other.

Got called up around 20 min later, the interviewer was really lovely and asked a few Q's: how did you meet, last time you met, who is the petitioner, what does he do for a living, and that was it. I was told I was approved, luckily had al... read complete review

Consulate was easy to find and the staff were really friendly.

I was only asked when we met in person and where we got married.

Approved pending medical which I did in January.

So I had my Green Card Interview today. What an awesome day for me and my wife.
As information to everyone in this group - My interview was scheduled for 8:30am. I turned up 15 minutes before my interview time and was asked to come back at 8:30am.
Clearing security was straight forward and we were taken upstairs. Within 5 minutes we were called up to provide all original documentation. After that we grabbed a seat and waited to be called for interview. It only took 15 minutes to get clear security and provide required documentation.
We waited around 20 minutes before being called for our interview. The interviewer asked the following questions:
1 - How did you both meet
2 - Where did you meet
3 - Where was your partner born
4 - Have you ever lived in the USA
5 - What is the longest time you have stayed in the USA
6 - Have you ever overstayed a visa or been deported
7 - Have you ever been convicted of a criminal off... read complete review
