  1. Hi,

I am a bit confused. In some places I see that the documentation (original birth cert., marriage cert, divorce cert) will be sent to NVC with the DS 230 packet. In other places I am reading that these documents will be taken to the Embassy. Which is true? Do NVC collect the info like with some other countries and forward all of the information to the Embassy when the petition is ready to be sent? Or should I send the originals to my husband so that he then has it in hand to take it to the Embassy for his interview? Thanks so much for your help.

  2. congrats on your approval..hopefully i get my approval this week..i sent mine to csc..so there approving dec.filers now?

Yes CSC is approving I130's left and right. It was by God's grace my hubby and I received ours yesterday and our priority date is dec 14. We filed for cr1 and it was sent to csc. grace and peace to you, hold on to your faith

  3. We just received our NOA2 yesterday (well the email anyway) therefore of course this is hot off the presses. I have gather just about everything I think they will be asking us for and am curious to when should my husband send for his police certificate. I just want to be ahead of the game and have everything ready to mail once we are prompted to pay our fees. It will take two weeks for him to mail me the certificate and I am not sure how long Lagos takes to produce the certificate. Can we request it now so when we get a case number and the fees are paid I can just mail it out without waiting for him to then file it and mail it? Or must we wait for a case number to then request the police certificate?

  5. when did you send you petetion in..my priority date is dec.6.2010 but i havent goten my approval yet..i wonder whats taking them so long..vj states that they are processing dec.7.2010 at csc..

My priority date is December 14 nevertheless there are several members who's priority date was either around the same time or after mine and they received their NOA2 before we did. It will come, have faith. I will be praying for you two, you pray as well for everyone else who is waiting. God is in control! Sorry just noticed...are you applying for an adjustment of status? The timeline may be different for that process, not sure though so please don't take my word for it...

  6. Hi all,

Just came back from Nigeria, was blessed with the opportunity to visit with my husband for 16 full days. We had the chance to just bond with one another. We feel so close to each other more then ever before. Unfortunately on my way back home I became very ill. It was thought to be Malaria but now the doctors are say it could be Dungue Fever. Whatever it is it had me down for a while. My studies has suffered in the meantime but I am trusting God to bring things together. We are so excited, time is coming for those NOA2's. We are so hopeful that we will get ours soon. We are now just crossing our t's and dotting our i's just to make sure we have everything in order. I am praying for each and every one of you that your NOA2's will be received in Godspeed. Keep your faith and hope in God and it will all come together soon. Grace and peace to you all...

  7. I am so excited, will be leaving on Saturday to spend 16 wonderful days with my hubby. We really and truly need this time together. It is so depressing to see the timelines, the news, etc. and try to stay positive. Although I know that everything will happen in God's time and We must put our total faith in Him, we are human and have flaws called impatience. This experience has definitely strengthened the foundation of our married. Wow...well any way just thought I'd share. Please to those praying folks on VJ, pray for traveling mercies for me.

  8. Have a safe trip! Hope you have a wonderful time with your husband... I know how you feel...trying to make every moment last!

Our first anniversary is in July..and since we only filed in early December...I don't like my chances of being in the US with my husband by then :( But I can always hope lol!

Thank you for the well wishes...I also hope along with you that your visa comes through by your anniversary. God Bless
