  1. okay so my priority date is dec.6.2010 and still no noa2...sent mine to csc..on firday i will be hitting the 5month mark and still nothing..its soo frustrating .has any december filer been approved latley? i hope i get my approval notice soon and before i hit my 5month mark..

I am praying for you and with you...I know it is hard to be in a position where you have no power. Put your faith in the one who has power, God, He is able and will see you through. It will happen, in His timing. Just hang in there crisina1, your time is coming and for all the other december filers waiting.

  2. If you have kept track on this website enough you should know that there is no rhyme or reason to why some people get approved before the other. You would also have seen that someone was JUST approved yesterday who received their NOA1 a year ago. This process is taxing but you better get used to it because you aren't even half way through it yet. Stop obsessing over something can't do anything about....at least not until at least 30 days past your 5 month mark and even then your actions don't guarantee anything is going to move any faster!

So I guess you are under the assumption that the OP has not kept track of this website? Why? Because she is frustrated? A lot of us realize that there is no rhyme or reason to this process but that fact does not stop a person for feeling what they are feeling. Yes we celebrate (at least I do) with those who are getting through this process quicker then expected and support those who have had a rough time with this crazy system (the person you referred to who just received a NOA2 after waiting an entire year) but to tell someone to stop obsessing over what is paining her is unfair and judgmental. Perhaps you have it all together, if that is the case good for you, God bless you. But please if the OP is not hurting anyone or has she insulted anyone with her post therefore leave her alone. If you don't like the fact that she is frustrated don't read her post.

  3. According to time lines up above CSC is working on Dec 11--why waste everybody's time telling us every few days that you are frustrated ??

Your comment is not very nice or supportive. I thought this forum was developed to provide support not criticism. If you are tired of reading her post about her frustration then don't read them. But to tell her she is wasting EVERYBODY'S time by posting her thoughts and frustration is not fair and is just mean spirited. You can't speak for everyone here and perhaps she is giving a voice to those who are afraid to voice their opinions because of mean comments like yours.

  4. Thank you patient2010 and chicagoj...Your information is very helpful. chicagoj you are planning to come to Niaja for your husband's interview? That is awesome. How O wish I could afford to do just that but as you said the airfare is very expensive and unfortunate where my husband lives there is not enough room sor me so I would have to stay in a hotel. The summer airfare will be ridiculous and he and I are claiming by mid or towards the end of the summer he should have his interview. By the time the airfare will be close to $2000.00 round trip and around the same one-way. So we are going to have to focus on him getting his airfare here. Unless God blesses us with a financial miracle and you and I both know God is able. Thanks again for your help...

  5. My fiance filed for me, and my interview date was already slated for 16th may 2011, I have all necessary documents ready... But last week thursday, I got a call from the Nigerian embassy, and I was told my appointment has been resheduled to the 3rd of may 2011(tuesday). Am a bit scared bout the fact that the embassy had already mailed me few months back notifying me of the 16th may... Now, I don't have any appointment letter showing the new scheduled day i.e 3rd of may. Or do u think I shouldn't be bothered? Cos I don't know what I would face that morning. Maybe my name would be on the list at the gate or not..or which one do you think would be the genuine? The letter they sent earlier showing 16th may or the call I got last week from the consulate stating 3rd of may? Thank you!

Do u think it may be too late to send the an email asking them for an email showing the appointment date change? I would atleast try...I would think nevertheless you should be on the list at the gate. I pray all goes well.

  6. I don't have answers to all your questions because I filed for a K1 visa. 160USD was for everything. You have to wait for your interview before taking your medical. And you can get a copy of your results but they will charge you. It didn't take us long to receive our police certificate, maybe 1 or 2 weeks. Hopefully more experienced members can better answer your questions and fill in the blanks.

    Thank you

  7. Is that 160.00 USD for exam plus vaccinations or is it more for vaccinations? Also do you have to wait until the case is sent to Nigeria to schedule the appointment since they send the forms to the Embassy? It was my understanding that my husband had to bring his medical forms to the interview. Is it possible to get a copy of the exam just incase it gets lost? I know a lot of questions, sorry. We received our NOA2 and are trying to get our stuff in order. Oh yeah when exactly did yoor husband get his police cert? Was it once you received the NOA2? Because it is my understanding they only last for three months, so if the interview is scheduled later then three months from when he receives the cert he has to get another one? I pray God's blessings over both of you's interview. God is able. I know you can't wait to bring your fiance/husband home. God bless and thanks for considering answering my questions :)

  8. I'm getting mixed messeges about how to get my finace here from nigeria to us which form am I suppose to use and how long does this take and should just fly there meet the family and come back and not be married or be married and then file someone please help because this is very confusing :help:

    Hi Lovehurts,

My first question is have you met your fiancee face to face yet? If you have met your fiancee face to face within the past two years then your are able to file for a fiancee visa (K1 visa) which you would use the form I-129f. Typically the I-129f is processed quicker (6-8 months) then the other option which it the spousal visa (8-12 months) where you would use the I-130. If you have not met your fiancee face to face within the past two years you will have to fly to Nigeria regardless of which avenue you choose or you will not be able to file for either. My husband and I juggled with this question and found we preferred to get married and apply for the spousal visa. We found that there were pros and cons to both options and choose which was better for us and our situation. I hope this helps. I hope I answered your questions. If not you can always inbox me. grace and peace

  9. Guys, i'm really getting scared and anxious now, beginning to think USCIS might have forgotten about some of us. My timeline says between April 22 amd May 1 and even though it's not May 1 yet i'm still scared.

Please don't be scared....they have not forgotten about you, they just haven't gotten to you. Keep your faith, hold on to God's promises. Remember He will never leave you nor forsake you therefore trust that things will happen in His perfect timing. It is hard, I know. Just a few days ago I was pacing the floors biting my fingernails too wondering what is going on. But praise be to God that God is God and that He is in control. You'll get it. You will, trust and believe that. Let it go and let God handle it and watch Him work.

  10. Then you have read wrong. The DS 230 must be signed by hand. For some countries, NVC will accept a scan of the signed form by email but it is still hand signed. The OP has not indicated the country. The actual paper signed by the visa applicant must be provided to NVC unless one of the listed countries that can do electronic NVC filing. It's a short list, very short.

My BAD pushbrk,,,like I said "I could be wrong" and I followed my statement by saying follow up with calling and asking. At least I know for sure for myself when it is time to send ours in.
