I passed my interview on 05/11/2015 with flying colors . Answered the first 6 questions correctly and wrote 1 sentence . I was in and out of the interview room in under 10 minutes . . I am now waiting for my Oath Ceremony Letter in the mail . Good luck to all the remaining Jan filers .

The melting pot does not involve a giant hole in our immigration practices, where ANYONE can get in the country, collect free money, free food, free medical care, not have to learn English, not pay taxes, etc., as long as they physically come across the Mexican-US border. The people who come here illegally specifically tend to not want to melt into the cultural pot. This is why so many services are being offered in Spanish -often Spanish being the first choice and English being the second.
Kevin --I would like to know where I can collect free food . free money , free medical care and not pay taxes . Whats state allows that ???? Many are coming across from Cuba , Haiti and even from Canada . I am sure if the Philippines shared a border with the USA --Philippines would be EMPTY by now Dont stigmatise one people . Many Mexicans come to work to help thier families and go back home. GOOD NEWS-I received a Text/ Email from USCIS -Decision
On November 17, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later.
That is an APPROVAL for I-485 . I am so happy that our journey is coming to an end . I think I am one of the few Sept 2011 Filers that is approved so fast . Just hang in there . Thanks to all my fellow VJ members . :dance:

I have been to the Pi several times and I have never encoutered all the secanario in ONE place tha you mentioned . Stop bitching --I waited over 6 mths before being approved and many like Channa waited over 7 mths and many are waiting over 8 mths .Eveything happens for a purpose . Just get yourself prepared so when the times comes --you will be 'ready ''.
