After my husband's interview we had a document to send.Sent it within 2 to 3 weeks My husband was on AP almost 9 months.It depends it could be right away or take months to get it.They will call you.

We brought fruit. I even brought a cheese I liked from there.My mother in law made pickled eggplant also.Even other things I just put them in the suitcase I checked in and when I arrived I wrote down what I had and went through agriculture inspection and I was good to go. Everything was package good. I forgot to put the eggplant in check in bag it was in a bag I had on the plane and nothing happen.Only thing when I arrived in Miami airport and was getting my luggage the dog kept on coming up to me because of the smell of garlic omg Poor man next to me had to smell it all the was back to Miami

At my husbands interview they kept his passport and he was on AP almost 9 months until Visa in Hand.Hard to predict how long it will take, but hopefully your husband won't wait long . We are praying for you

Yes its terrible being away from your love ones It took my husband 2 years to get his Visa ...But in the end he's here for over a year now and we are TOGETHER!

Cairo Embassy is strict Our first co sponsor made a couple hundred over the 125% and it wasn't good enough.The other one was approved he was 8,000 over the 125%. Good Luck & Best Wishes

My husband is from more south than Cairo about 1 hour and half.One day you should go it's like home for me and you will feel the same.In my husband's city I am the only American there when I visit.All know me and always welcome me there.I have the look of Egyptian but I am of Italian origin.They always give me a second look when I speak Lol they think I am trying to fool them with speaking English.Welcome to the forum.... we have many kind and informative people here.

go to the ministry of justice because they will know and have a marriage certicate with pictures on it of the people who married.I suppose that will prove you never married.

Did he receive a letter from DHL?My husband recieved a call and letter from the embassy via DHL.It should give you instructions.My husband renewed TB and police report.Don't make travel plans until visa is in hand .

Thanks everyone ...You know we fall In love we marry someone that makes us feel you know Even though we are from 2 different worlds we were made for each other.The road hasn't been easy OMG no! we had many ups and down's through these more than 3 years of marriage living in different countries.On of us had doubts the other one so positive but we never called it quits.Hold on keep strong sometimes that road seems like it will never end but it will and you will be alright.You will be together! Thanking GOD ....I am so happy early in the morning hours went to sleep seen our status changed date but still said AP I guess it was 10am Cairo time and my husband just woke me and said VISA ISSUED OMG I can't explain what is going through me now.I THANK ALL VJ members who not just advised but told there stories because that really helped to see others with similar situations and helped see a light on certain things happening in the case.I am wishing all who are on this AP nightmare the best of luck.Someone pinch me
