Wow, that sure took them a long time! Kiki, after you received the NOA1, how long did it take for the Biometrics letter to come in the mail? And how many weeks did they give you before the appointment?

Honestly speaking, the two times I have called customer service, they have refused to give me information about the biometrics letter. They told me that it could take 30 to 60 days to get the letter and I should call them once the 60 days have passed. I am worried about the same thing as it's happened to me in the past for my Adjustment of Status process.

I plan to call them again on Aug 1 (30 days after NOA1) and maybe try to speak with a supervisor. This truly sucks.

My tip is keep call until you get the answer. I called 2 times today and then got the answer what I wanted. I'm not gonna wait until 30 days or 60 days! It's crazy

Hi your call was regarding barometric too, would u share with us what kind of answer u got from them please.

I was told that I have a date scheduled to have my fingerprints done but they advised me that they have not mailed out my biometric letter yet. They also told me that it will be mailed within 120 days. I asked them what the date was, but they did not have access to the exact date. All they could tell me was that it was after August 17th. I was afraid the mail get lost, but now I knew the have not mailed it out yet.

I finally got ASC appoinment notice today......it is due on 8/7/08 finally wait is over....

It's been a long time since I've been on here. Not had to do much with Visa related stuff until recently. So, I sent in I-751 package, it was forwarded to CSC via NSC.

I received my NOA1 in the mail a week or so ago, and it has a WAC receipt number. However, when I pump that in to the case status online as USCIS, it tells me it's invalid. I drop the dashes as the field is too small to have them anyway.

Anybody else had that problem, and if so, how long did it take to update it so you could see it online, or what did you do to fix it?

Hi, We seem to have a similar time frame. I received my NOA 1 on July 7 but it had the date of June 30. I am also still waiting for my biometrics appointment. Hopefully it will come soon. We're going on vacation from August 4 to 7, and I am hoping it's not scheduled for that time. Let me know if you get the biometrics appointment and I'll do the same.

Yep...no letter for me either last night. From what I've heard, the appointment is usually scheduled for a week or two after you receive the letter. I think it depends on how busy the local center is. Some people told me that you can always ask them to reschedule it if it conflicts with your appointment time. But you have to write to them etc. And some people said you could walk in and try to see if they'll take you after the date. It all just makes it so complicated and I'd hate to not go when they give you the appointment time. Good luck to us all! What service center is your application at?

I sent the info on June 13th and received on June 20th, they approved it on July 9th.

I am ready to sent my I751 I have 3 quesations:

1) I live in State of Indiana where can I sent my I 751.....can i sent it by certified mail or USPS nextday service please advise.

2) How i can send a check I have to write 2 seperate check for petition and Fingerprint or i can send $ 554 in one check.

3) Do I have to write a cover letter or not.

Please advise me I am rookie over here.

In the form I 751 part 3, # 8 it said if you are married, is this different marriage than the the one through one which conditional residence status obtained. what is this i don't understand we have to tick yes or no.

We got our welcome to The United States of America letter by mail on 23rd, it said that "We will soon mail you a new Permenent Resident Card, you should receive it within the next 3 weeks." so, you guys in VJ have idea that how long it will take to get that real green card although i heard that it is not GREEN.

I have my Aos interview in June, and didn't got any decesion due to missing immigration file, then we contacted our senator, our senator office call up our local office and the local stated that they have all my file now and my case is in “awaiting decision” drawer and this office is exteremly behind, what do u mean by it, do some one clearfy....do any one have any ideas how long it takes to decide such case.

In what ground the officer said it will take 3to 4weeks, he might tell you that some of your file is missing etc..please give the detail what officer told you.

We had something similar happen to us there. Guy said everything was OK at the interview, but couldn't approve the AOS because of he not having some file. Interview was the end of June 2002 and approval was August 8th 2002.

I am curious that if your interview is before your backround check completed, then they said you are approved and but can't issue card before backround check complete...what date will be there on your card the approval date of your interview or the approval date after namecheck completed. any one have ideas
