I started with a $500 Capital one credit card in November 2013. After about two months I opened a Walmart store credit card. Six months after opening my capital one he card, my limit was raised to $2,000. I then applied for a Discover card and given a limit of $1500. About six months later,. I requested higher limit from Capital one, and it was raised again to $3,000. Walmart also raised my limit to $1200, after I requested it. Every three months I would request a higher limit from Capital one and Discover. Walmart then offered to give me a real credit card, but unfortunately this meant they closed my old one, so year's worth of credit history was essentially removed. In July of last year Discover raised my limit to $5,000 and in August I applied for an auto loan from ally. The interest rate was high 8.9%, so I refinanced at a local credit union for 3% in November. In December wells Fargo sent me an application for a credit card with I think 8% APR. I applied and was given a 9,0000 dollar limit, which I thought was good given they rejected my application about 12 months earlier. I was just yesterday approved for a $140,000 mortgage. The main thing for building a good credit score was to pay my credit cards off as soon as possible, use them to make regular purchases and keep requesting to increase my limits when possible. The more credit you have available, the more credit card companies seem willing to raise your limits. And never ever close open credit card accounts, which means you should avoid credit cards with yearly fees, which you might be stuck paying long after you want to quit using them. Personally I think it's a good idea to open accounts in clusters, so your length of credit history will recover faster.

AOC is great. She always manages to make the "right" look pretty pathetic, each time they go after her. All they can do, is call her silly names, and attack her intelligence. Pathetic.

Elections are a while off yet. There is plenty of time to figure out which candidate will win the nomination. Also, just because you don't feel a candidate is a strong contender, doesn't really mean very much. Nothing personal, just that baby boomers will soon will soon loose their significance, and those replacing them maybe be more to change, than previous generations. We are at a turning point in history when people will need to decide if they wish to continue with the current failing system, or demand an alternative.

That only means that the swing to the left will be much more powerful. I don't think Trump will will win reelection, because he is just too polarizing for the country. He might remain popular with Republican voters, but that is a rapidly shrinking pool of likely voters.
Personally, I don't really care if another center right Democrat wins the presidency, I am actually more concerned with getting enough new Democrats elected to both houses of Congress, and state elections. This is the only way to realistic way to bring change to a system that is currently failing so many Americans.

I find it laughable that the likes of AOC and Bernie Sanders are being painted as some form of extremists, but nobody seems to know why they are extremists.

Unfortunately somewhere on the line, justice became equated with revenue. The last fine I had to pay was a stop light cam. My tire was just enough over the stop line to trigger the camera. A few days later a guy in the lane next to me sped right through the red light and from what I heard, he will pay the exact same fine as me. They say the camera lights are to improve safety but there was an article recently that there are more accidents now from people slamming on breaks when the light turns yellow than there ever were before. No one will convince me that it's about anything but the money.

I guess it boils down to is it worth ~$30000 to skip voting in 2 elections. Given the choice of candidates we are likely to get, I really couldn't fault anyone for taking the cash.

P.s. I wasn't around back when slavery was a thing, but some of people here, kind of the give the impression that they were, just going by their old fashioned views.

P.p.s. the Democratic party of the 19th century is significantly different from the 21st century version. Same goes for the party of Lincoln.

Wait, are we talking about US health care in general? Bloated? ✓, bureaucracy?✓, resists change under any circumstances?✓, outrageously expensive?✓, or maybe the US military? The Pentagon apparently spent 30 million last year alone on lobster. I am surprised they found any though, because if the right is to be believed, your average food stamp recipient eats lobster at least twice a week, when they are not swapping their food stamps for cash.

I love it. Republicans say actual racist things, and nothing happens. A democratic member of Congress, simply says the obvious, and is called an antisemite.

I suspect there isn't much meat to this story. We'll see. Did anyone catch the video of AOC calling out how stupid the current laws on campaign financing are? If you have not already done so, I highly recommend you Google it.

There is no meat to this story.  Those LLC's haven't violated any reporting laws because there aren't any such reporting requirements.  The real story here is that AOC is young, charismatic, popular, and a rising star.  That's why the right-wing echo chamber is attacking her.

Yep, it's the tin-foil-hat crowd.  consider the source:

The article says, "On Monday, a conservative group filed a complaint with the Federal Election Commission alleging that the PACs failed to properly disclose their spending."

It would be useful to identify the conservative group so readers can get an idea  of where their funding comes from, their history and objectivity,

The conservative group that filed the complaint is  "The National Legal and Policy Center". Their primary source of funding are the Scaife Foundations.
