It seems like regarding immigration you are in a dead end, I think you should take the next step forward and may be go back to india, or could you all move to canada ( it is a little cold but ...) I think it's very important you don't overstay with your children being over 18, it wouldn't be fair to them to make them start their life as an adult this way, plus they can't even leave.
I feel so bad for you, and I wish you the best
plus how much does your lawyer charges you? If he knows there is no way to get an acceptance he should have told you and spare you the expense

To my knowledge a writ of mandamus would be to compel USCIS take care of your case for something that is owed to you, I think it's usually used for major delays.
Can you ask your lawyer what's the ground for this?
I don't see where your lawyer is taking you to be honest.

well starting with the basics would be a resident but yes.
To be honest I don't think it would be easy because of your history, and what would you do with your wife?
What about leaving for the time for the 10 years and coming back legally afterwards?

24/27 is very different from 20/21...
Life is long and an education makes a difference. See it as getting ready for you future married life.
If you really want to be with him you can marry him CR1 and co sponsor but don't give up going to school in order to be able to afford a married life at 20.

I think you need to stop calling your old attorney, and start working on finding a new one. I would also relax on presenting yourself as a doctor all the time because it really doesn't change much about your situation.
Also listen to JimVaPhuong as his answers are always amazing.
From the way you explain your situation I smell something fishy and you can be honest here, we don't know who you are but can't really help you otherwise.
What brought you here? you re in your 30's don't you want to work? why didn't you stay in your home country? why did you pic the Us? how are you providing for yourself and how were you before meeting your wife?
