actually, it looks like yours took about the same as most other ppl from vermont from your time period. prolly just had something marked in your file about you being annoying, and doubt it made any other difference

you NEED to find a way to calm down, that is not healthy for you or for your relationship. we all know exactly how you feel, but try to think on a longer term basis. this time next year, you and your spouse will be getting ready for the holidays together, and bundled up drinking hot cocoa and watching a movie TOGETHER. it sucks ####, we all know it does. especially seeing people go through the whole process in the same amount of time it will take you to get your noa2. just keep planning for the stuff you do know is a certainty, and find a way to keep you from dwelling on the stuff that isn't.

i believe they are referring to the federal tipped workers minimum wage, which i believe is 2.13, i pay my servers 2.65 an hour for the time they are actually waiting on tables, and it's my responsibility to pay them the difference if they don't make at least the regular federal minimum of 7.25 (which rarely happens if they are good servers).

uhm, the employer deducts taxes based on the filing status you claim on your W-4, but that really has nothing to do with a tax return?
at the end of the year you get a W-2 and you use that to FILE YOUR TAXES WITH THE IRS, that is YOUR responsibility, no one elses. if you didn't file taxes then that is your own fault. you can still file them after the fact, but you will be charged fees for filing late. you need your W-2 forms from your employer to do that.
and not sure on this part, but i believe the consulate also will look at employer statements, pay stubs and a yearly statement from your bank? (not sure if this in instead of the tax returns or in addition to them?)

the processing time is 5 months, if they are within their 5 months then you have nothing to complain about. if you get yours before your 5 months is up, then consider yourself lucky, but unless you PASS 5 months, come on people, stop complaing, we are ALL in the same boat as you. you are not the first people to wait this long, in fact i know couples that have had to wait years to be together, and in the grand scheme of things, 5 months is nothing.
anyone who had done any research on visa approval would know this was a long process before they even embarked on it in the first place and yet everyone is acting like they are the only ones going through this and that it's some horrible injustice that they have to wait their turn like everyone else.

Kristy S got a reaction from Nik+Heather in is it ok to call the congressman even if k1 is not over 5mos?
I don't know if this is true or not since my lawyer has given me a few untruths already, but when i asked him about calling the congressman, he said it COULD go well if he has a lot of pull, but that consequently, it COULD just get pulled, looked at, and then they decide nothing is wrong and is going as it should, and then be put back in line except farther back than it was by a few weeks.
so just in case they actually know what they are talking about, i'm going to just sit and wait my turn like everyone else and not try to line jump (which is kind of rude if you think about it anyways).

Kristy S got a reaction from Boiler in Second Fiance Visa Question
i think after this much time he's screwed either way. unless the fiance is a complete dolt, she will be majorly furious that he has been hiding a previous marriage for this long, ESPECIALLY if it meant "nothing", because then what was the point of even hiding it at all?
obviously there is something to it, or you wouldn't live in another country rather than tell her.
