I'm calling BS on this. Vietnam was in chaos in 1975. The Communists didn't exactly trust any Americans at that time, and they certainly weren't looking to hire them.
Also, the US will not accept your renouncement of citizenship unless you'd already become a citizen of another country. Presumably, you would have already become a citizen of Vietnam. Obviously, you wouldn't have become a citizen of the Republic of Vietnam because the Communists would probably have arrested you rather than hiring you. So you became a citizen of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, right? Where did you go to give up your US citizenship? The US Embassy in Saigon was closed for consular operations in March, before the Fall of Saigon. It was closed for good by the end of April. The only way you could have pulled this off is to become a citizen of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Ha Noi before the US Embassy closed and then traveled to Saigon to relinquish your US citizenship. That would have been quite a stunt, considering there were no commercial air flights between Ha Noi and Saigon at the time, and traveling by land would have been suicide considering that you were a foreigner, and no matter which side you were on there were literally millions of people along the way who would have been happy to kill you.
This smells like one of D.Q.'s stories.

I do not think you need one from Cambodia. From the Pkg 3 & 4 given out last year, PC from some countries are not available and was not needed.
The current Package 3&4 in the Consulatle website does not include that info but gives the link to some visa reciprocity info...
I attached here a Foreign PC page from last year Packages 3/4 for your reference...

Wow.... it really makes no sense for someone that is not familiar with the way HCMC does things to respond to A VN specific topic.
    Wayne,
There have been some folks Like Curtis that got lucky with few trips, engaged first trip etc... Others have been denied for having relationship parameters like this... They like to see a few trips at a minimum and a growth of a relationship rather than flying over and getting proposed first trip with no Dam Hoi... They are aware of VN specific traditions/cultural norms and have made note of those expectations in a number of denials in the past.
There is no perfect relationship that they are looking for... X trips + Y months = visa...
Your relationship is what it is and there isnt anything you can do other than providing documentation to show that bonafide relationship to the CO... Dont dwell on it at this point...

VinhBao MyTam reacted to JimVaPhuong in is it mandatory to get engaged for K1 visa
The OP has listed India as the beneficiary's country, so Bec_Dipu's comment was probably relevant to the OP's question.
In addition, in India and other countries where a traditional engagement ceremony is a cultural imperative, it's usually strongly advisable to have the engagement ceremony before sending the petition, and not simply before the interview, and to provide evidence of the ceremony with the petition package. In many of these countries, you aren't considered by the community to be engaged until you've had this ceremony, and the consulate may presume that the petition was filed prematurely if the couple was not formally engaged beforehand. They use things like this as evidence that the relationship is a sham for the purpose of evading immigration law because it doesn't conform to local cultural and traditional norms.

There's not a list but you can figure out which countries are poorer, and from which people are more tempted to commit fraud (marriage or visa) to get to the USA. Many of the more popular places to look for a mate, are medium or high fraud countries. The ones that tend to take extra time are the Middle East and North African countries. One of the easiest is Ukraine. The Philippines is also quite popular as is China. Vietnam is a difficult place to get a visa. Thailand, for a fiancee is pretty easy but for a spouse pretty hard.
Why not see where you internet dating takes you and figure it out from there. Again, the best way to get scammed is to use a marriage broker or a tour. Internet dating through dating websites is pretty straight forward once you learn to navigate the site or sites.

She can also sell on ebay to the US, there are many things that are cheap here that in the US are expensive. Westerners eat up Asian things, and if it looks Japaneese or Chineese they love it. All that is really needed is for her to set up a pay pal account or for you to do it and use that for her ebay account. Lacquers are cheap here, between 20 and 50$ and sell for $300 to $600, also the bags, and little things sell good as well

What has been denied, an I-129F petition or a visa application at interview? They are not the same thing and the OP seems to be interchanging "visa application" and "petition" with responding members doing the same. For us to help, we'll need to know the details using the correct descriptions of just what was filed, and what was denied and where.

VinhBao MyTam reacted to JimVaPhuong in sending $
Whether money transfer receipts will hurt or help depends on the consulate, and maybe even on the particular case. That's not the point. What the OP is suggesting is an attempt to intentionally mislead the consular officer into thinking that the petitioner is supporting the beneficiary financially when, in fact, the petitioner is sending the beneficiary's own money back to them. This is fraud. Even if it were guaranteed to be good evidence, nobody should be suggesting that it's ok for someone to commit fraud just because it's relatively easy to get away with.

I think a big part of the issue though is also the lack of information. You say that you also have a job that is not flexible, but it took HOURS for the OP to even offer up the information that it was job related.
If you give a generalized question that seems to ask, "What can I do to circumvent the system because I didn't prioritize what should have been a priority?" you're going to get a bunch of snide responses from people that have spent a good portion of their time & energy trying to accomplish the same thing.
If you explain your specific situation, then others who have been in similar binds can try to help.
