Does anyone know what kind of cancer it was?
Wikipedia is saying Liver

The blast was 6 kilotons - that is smaller than Hiroshima. The triggers alone for an H bomb need to be at least twice that power and likely much larger.
*not* an H bomb.
'It takes an A-bomb to detonate an H-bomb.'
Good article here

i'm a huge fan of Irving, Texas,
as
1. DFW airport is right there
2. South Irving Cheap to purchase 1.4 to 2.5 acre spreads in town
3. Huge Chinese Community
4. Excellent Asian Markets in town
5. Texas has no state income tax
6. Dead easy to set up a company, even online with the state comptroller's office
7. Warm 10 months out of the year.
8. The illegal aliens are moving out of Texas, they cannot find 'regular' work
9. EVERY one of the Fortune 500 has an office in North Irving.
10. North Irving full o culture.
I lived there for 2 years, would live there again.
Texas has been discussed but in terms of San Antonio or Austin. I know the Dallas area is sprawling, thanks for the input.
No stay out of Texas. Git.
Giddyup!!!
Denver is wonderful -- just got back from a weekend there. It ticks a lot of your boxes except the warmth one (at least year round), and it's definitely more affordable than the Bay Area. Mr U has occasionally floated the idea of moving to Albuquerque, but it's a pain to get to flightwise from our respective parental units' homes. Have you considered the San Diego area? Northern SD County is GORGEOUS -- lush landscape, tons of outdoorsy stuff to do, cute little town but only an hour or so from San Diego proper. I love Fallbrook, which is just east of Camp Pendleton. Very friendly little town with a thriving arts community. I'd advise against moving to LA unless you're in the entertainment biz or hate yourself overall like I do.
Denver has been in my heart for years, my big sister lives there and the only reason I work really is to ski occasionally. I'm still pushing for Denver. I like San Diego and I was stationed at Pendleton in 89'-90' and I had an office in Riverside (Yeech). My middle sister lives in La Jolla (la-de-da) but she can afford it...
The ABQ would be cool, I could start cooking meth...I wonder what Badger and Skinny Pete are up to? Seriously though I need to check out the South West.
Atlanta has a pretty strong Korean population and therefore grocery stores. I know it's not Chinese but my wife really likes them. She wants us to move there. North Atlanta is pretty affordable as large cities go. Their job market isn't bad either. Lots of good opportunities and affordability in Texas too. What size city and amenities are you looking for? Does she live on Chinese pretty much exclusively? Prob have to go west coast if she can't live without authenticity and variety.
I've lived in the SE for most of my life. Atlanta has areas that I would consider and it's close to family and friends and I have considered it. The company she works for now actually opened an office there two years ago. She's not dependent on Chinese food and can go periods of time without it but aside from fresh ingredients you can order most everything from the internetz! Another SE city I wouldn't mind living in would be Charleston! Hmmm...

Wow -- already?
We can better tailor recommendations if we hear what's important to you.
Depends on what you're looking for. Why so soon, you allergic to egg rolls?
What sort of climate are you looking for? Any particular industry?
After I left my old company a competitor approached me to consult on a couple of projects in Asia and here in China. My own business was picking up slowly but I had time and so I agreed. It turns out that the owner is turning 65 this year and he's been running this small but successful service business for over 20 years and he's had enough. He's got no family interested or qualified to take it over and he's asked me if I wanted it. It's only about 20 employees spread out around the world with a small head office in Milwaukee. Adding his client base to the small one I've developed here over the last year will be a big bump for me. It makes sense for us to move back to handle the transition and the much larger service area (US, Canada, Brazil, Germany, Taiwan and China). Eventually I would relocate the office if necessary but I would not need to be there full time.
Also, since the little Operator arrived my wife isn't as career driven and wants to actually raise her boy. Eventually she'll want to go back to work (marketing) so we need to end up in fairly metropolitan area and since she is cold blooded she requires warmth from the environment. If it were just me I would buy a cabin in Jackson Wyoming and call it good but...
She's lobbying for $an Franci$co, which is certainly not the bottom of my list...I would like to be near a hub airport. Good school system, a little culture but ready access to the outdoors. Denver is my vote but she isn't in love with it. Any thoughts on cities in AZ or NM?
...and no Teddy no egg roll allergies but I have developed a craving for fish head soup and I've forgotten how to drive.

There is a good possibility that our situation may have us moving back to the US this calendar year.
I need to know the best city to live in and why...please, your helpful thoughts are appreciated.

Not quite. You need to provide your philosophical treatise on the topic, G.
Slacker.
I've got G's back on this one.
Magnets are polar; positive and negative. Opposites and also part of a whole.
In revelations Jesus says "I am the Alpha and the Omega" or the 'beginning and the end'. Polar opposites as part of the whole.
Ipso facto~ God = Magnets and by the transitive properties, Magnets = God.
How'd I do?

One of the less advertised protected freedoms of US citizens is the 'Right to complain'. Seriously, If you feel like you were treated unfairly investigate a method of redress.
A CBP officers job is to scrutinize people crossing the border into the US, some do it with more veracity than others, if you truly feel that you were subjected to racial discrimination you should not let it go so easily.

I'm not sure if he is a horrible representative of the game of baseball. Doc Gooden was never banned, neither were Manny or A-Rod or the whole list of guys suspended for drugs. Mikey Mantle and Willie Mays were banned in 1983 for working in a casino.
They changed the rules for Rose...twice.
How about this guy? He might be considered a horrible representative of football...

We should begin drinking immediately and heavily, to drown our sorrowful grief for Operator's half-bottle of whiskey.
Please; not to worry, her suffering shall end this evening. Maybe just raise a glass in her honor.

He looks thoroughly confused...yep, that's him alright.
ETA: If they had bothered with a full body recreation you would have been able to see his tool belt and star of David necklace to prove that he really was a Jewish carpenter.

HAPPY FRIDAY LOSERS!!!! I am going back to the land of my forefathers on Thursday for eight days, where I will partake of local delicacies: white clam pizza and birch beer. Mr U will be with me and my brother and SIL will be there too -- the first time all of us will have ever been together. In the interim, I have my Civil Procedure final exam tomorrow at 2pm. Pray for me.
I only pray for successful immigration interviews sorry, I did however sacrifice a half bottle of whiskey for your good fortune! I hope it worked out.

I used to ride by HondaJet everyday on the way to the office. They buzz around in the sky and sound about the same as the lawn mowers and pressure washers they make...also in North Carolina. Do they manufacture anything in Japan anymore?
