We didn't do the affidavits, as I understand it is just one of the evidence possibilities and to be honest, it doesn't sound like good evidence to me.
Our check was cashed on the 19th, I am hoping to get NOA #1 today or tomorrow..

So I have helped several friends who have gone through the K-1 visa process, almost all are happy stories. The one who is not happy brought his wife here on a K-1 visa, they were married within the 90 days, but they were fighting some. Despite the fighting they applied for the Adjustment of Status, but now things have gotten worse. My friend wants to divorce his new wife and send her home to the Philippines. The problem is she will not leave. I have advised him to contact a lawyer so I hope he will, but I wish I could give him more advise.
What are his options? Should he now just move without her? I am worried with their fighting he will at some point be facing police and being accused of domestic assault or something. When they were having issues at first I advised them not to get married, and later I advised my friend not to petition for the AOS just because they couldn't get along, I knew that it wouldn't work out. Now it has come to this.

Today was our AOS interview, wow, it was more intense than I expected. The focus of the USCIS officer was our age difference (I am 45 and Jen is 22) that was not what I was expecting. I was also surprised that she didn't ask for the completed vaccination record, (damn it! we paid a lot of money for that signature..) but like a good Decemberite I provided nothing that was not asked for. I am happy and very relieved that we have a 1 year 10 month break from this process. I would like to point out that our interviewer was VERY impressed with both our I-29F and the AOS packet, she stated: "I wish others where this organized" it's a credit to the December 2010 Decemberite's but I won't mention any names (Mari, Dizzy, Bec, Lise) Thanks you.
Now we are just wishing the best for the rest of our crew and if we can be of any assistance please contact us. You guys are awesome!!

My older brother has been going through the K-1 visa journey so I have been helping him. He is a member of VJ but he doesn't have a family like the December filers to turn to for help. In helping out I have returned to reading our original decemberite thread and have to say it was pretty amazing, like a ride down memory lane reading that stuff! Almost all of the help I received came through our group. So I want to say again, thank you all!

Hey guys! First and foremost, huge congrats to the Dizzy Family!!!<3
Things have been pretty hectic for us here! We had a lovely thanksgiving and Reilly's family have all been so warm and amazing to me, I am truly blessed to have 2 amazing families. I get days where I am so homesick I will just fall into myself, presently my husband is working 3 jobs to keep us afloat, so I'm to my own devices for a lot of the days and evenings. The upside is for the first time ever I am discovering I am a pretty awesome cook (with the time I've had to occupy myself it's been a blessing to find something I like to throw myself into!) and am getting quite reknown for this with my husbands work friends! Although the cabin fever can get to me as I can't really go anywhere without someone to drive me. That said - I did get a learner's permit soon after I came, and have had a fun time learning how to drive, though today at the DMV I went in to get them to extend the expiration (the same date as on my I-94, I was told I just needed my I-797 for the I-485 and they can extend it a year) only to have a bit of an arguement with the receptionist who said otherwise. If anything though it makes me feel more American to moan about the DMV on the ride home!
Biometrics was a breeze - we got to the Alexandria branch in VA half an hour early and I got whisked to the fingerprinting & photo booth straight away - in and out in under 10 minutes!
We were hoping for a nice calm first christmas together in our new home, but hubby got a job offer for a Linux position he's been studying for all year so on Christmas eve of all days we are driving our little Toyota with all our worldly goods in it down 5 hours south to Virginia Beach! We're very excited, not only does this equal job satisfaction for Rei and an exciting adventure for us but we'll get so much more time together! Best Christmas present we could recieve
Having our family Christmas portrait tomorrow with his parents and brother, very blessed to have the love and support of them.
I wish you all happy holidays! My fellow 'aliens', make sure to throw in a few native dishes at dinner time and everyone make sure to start some fun family traditions!

My Fiance's interview was this morning and she was APPROVED!!!
She has to collect her passport with the visa next Wednesday (I wonder why it will take them 1 week to print a visa, but I'm not complaining)

Haha. Yeaaah...we didn't waste any time! He'll be here in Florida tonight! I'm so excited to show him our new house being built! Life is peachy!! Ben that time will go by so fast! We are just REALLY REALLY impatient!!

It's the correct name, this forum was started as an off-shoot of the December 2010 K1 forum. To segregate the information pertaining to the K1 petition from the AOS, we started a second forum. To indicate that it pertains to the community of December 2010 K1 filers that we have developed, it was named "2010 Decemberite K-1 AOSers". We wanted to stick together through the AOS process too so future dating didn't make sense. We all started in December 2010, but we will all AOS at different times due to the amount of time it takes at VSC versus CSC and the backlogs at some embassies.
Easy mistake to make though...no harm, no foul!

I read your next post (the one above) and wonder if you're reading the USCIS Goal Times they post on their official website? Last I knew it was 5 mos+ (and that is not a guarantee btw). So.... sit tight cuz you're in for a little bit of a wait.
LOL... where on earth did you see 4 WEEKS to have your NOA2 approval??? Must be joking or mistaking that for the NOA1 date...

PS: WE DECEMBERITES DO NOT PANIC BECAUSE WE KNEW WHEN WE FILED OUR PETITIONS THAT IT WAS GOING TO BE A FEW MOS. BEFORE WE GOT NOA2 APPROVALS.
