LoriT got a reaction from Laser1 in New reality show about K1 visa (merged)
I was honestly insulted by the promos for this show. Colin and I met unconventionally, sure. But we have an actual, real relationship. The K-1 was not for us to decide if it was going to work between us. It was the first step in bringing him here so we could spend the rest of our lives together. We have worked very hard to be together. Gone through many tears, frustrations, stomach ulcers and wonderfully happy times to get where we are. I don't like the thought of them trivializing what we have all gone through to be where we are.
It isn't all about lingerie in the kitchen and riding a mechanical bull. It's about working 2 jobs to make enough to support your spouse (just in case), being alone on birthday's and special occasions waiting..., endless mountains of paperwork, thousands of dollars, millions of tears (both happy and sad), RFE's, denials, approvals, interviews, biometric appointments. And in the end... it's about two people who are determined to cut the red tape and prove to the world that they want to spend the rest of their lives driving each other crazy

i am going to assume that you are just mis-informed or unable to articulate well.
the government is trying to protect the country from terrorists. not muslims. because terrorists have no religion. it is sad that we continue to mix the two. we dont call all caucasions nazis because the nazis were light colored. similarly over 90% of muslims are peace loving.

Really? What part are you reading? Try the RUB forum! Then google "Ukrainian Brides"
Marrying a foreign woman does not make life easier than marrying a domestic woman, but certainly nothing that cannot be overcome. I can say that any problems we may have would not be related to Alla being Ukrainian. We have been through the entire process for our marriage (still some to go for one of the boys and now Alla's mom, but WE are done!) and it is a nuisance to be sure, but no more than a nuisance. You manage it like any other aspect of life and make it as easy for yourself as you can. Other than that, life and marriage is what you make it and I find being married to someone from a different culture to be fascinating and educational and stimulating.

well what you are saying is accurate granted that the marriage was in good faith from the beginning. However, in many cases the USC realize all too late that they have been used for immigration benefits. In such cases how can you not be upset? If someone use you like trash then they most certainly deserve to be treated the same. I have NO SYMPATHY for such folks. They should be kicked out of the country immediately no questions asked. Man or Woman. Life is short get such ppl out of your life.

Immediately begin collecting information for ROC. Any information on or evidence of intertwining of finances & lives, throw it in a folder or a box. Ninety days short of two years from now, you should have very ample information to supply for ROC.

When you are hurt, you vent. Some things you mean, others you don't. You want to lash out at the one who hurt you. Al's posts are venting. I'm sure you or anyone else would do the same if your heart was broken. He had the dream of a Russian wife, so what. We all have our dreams and ideals. His didn't work this time. It doesn't mean it won't in the future. If he has a love for Russian woman and the Russian culture, let him be. My fiance is English. And his accent curls my toes every single time I hear it. Would I love him if he wasn't English? Of course. Did I chose to fall in love with someone 4,000 miles away and thousands of dollars to be with me? No. It is what it is. Just let him vent.

Every single morning you wake up in your loves arms For you, it is over. Try to remember back to what it was like waiting. then try and imagine your dreams being shattered. It takes two people to create a relationship but only one to absolutely destroy it!

Yep, in the beginning you check constantly. Then about month 2 you taper off because you know you have a while to wait. Then at month 4 you start back up again. Then at month 5 you start going insane and make USCIS your homepage
